Anyone tried?
*
Tried Nokmote but it's too sensitive to control, unless u have a very steady hand, quite hard to play games with it (tried on Snakes, Asphalt 3 3D). BTW u need a Pen+C plugin to activate the function, coz N82 dun have the Pen key. rolleyes.gif

Yes, for those lucky b@5t@rd like you and me  rolleyes.gif  who bought N82 and get the cert for the new IMEI in Jan '08.

FExplorer 1.18b S60v3 is currently one of a few famous s/w app you need to sign yourself for S60v3.

For those procrastinating to buy until today, sad to say, you have to keep on procrastinate and see what happens. It affects all S60v3 like N95, N95 8G, upcoming N96, etc.
*
Well unless someone like us can create a cert for them tongue.gif

hey, there's a solution for the copy/paste problem due to garmin...download fexplorer, then open the process option, and kill the tsrautostart.exe and the # key will work smooth again. remember, each type u launch garmin,u hv to repeat the step again......!!!fe explorer need to be signed though, too bad symbian signed has closed the request section....
*
Thanks for the tip, I've just signed and installed the latest FExplorer 1.18b. And able to kill off the bug. No more copy/paste bug. rclxm9.gif

Guys what does it mean when I try to install a SIS file, and it says "expired certificate?"
*
The app that u trying to install is expired, you either need to re-sign it or change ur date to an earlier date. tongue.gif

How big is the difference if compare my N95 8GB's LED flash with this xenom?
*
The Xenox flash can produce a brighter flash compare to LED flash. Therefore it will help in photography in darker areas just like a camera. icon_idea.gif

Well, I think no one will take a 10 meter picture in darkness right? I think it works well within 2~5 meters, which is enough already. biggrin.gif

Oh btw I found taht using the FExplorer to kill off the tsrautostart.exe doesn't complete remove the bug. As certain apps still having the same copy/paste problem. Oh wait FExplorer doesn't kill tsrautostart.exe at all, am I getting right on this? shakehead.gif

each time when u launch garmin, the tsautostart.exe will run again...so,once u exit garmin, launch fexplorer, then kill the process...it will be ok again..remember,kill it each time after you launch garmin
*
No man, I didn't start Garmin at all. I open the process and search down the list for tsautostart.exe and press C to kill right and choose yes. But I still see it on the list. Am I doing it right? wink.gif

oh yes...it is still there, but dont worry, the copy and paste function will remain ok..i actually tried to delete tsautostart.exe in e:/sys/bin folder, however, after i deleted,my garmin crashed...so,never try to delete it from the phone...this trick should work at least for now, until garmin developers find a solution for this...
*
The first time it worked for my messages, but wasn't working for other app. Weird now after I restarted my phone, the trick works on the app already. LOL laugh.gif
Anyways thanks for da tip. thumbup.gif

[edit] You guys got any luck getting RockNScroll to work? I downloaded the 1.0.1, signed it on symbiansigned (open signed online is back ... online), but when I try to run it from my N82 nothing happens ...
*
QUOTE(snakevenom @ Mar 14 2008, 08:49 AM)
for RockNScroll you must reboot ur Nokia N82 first before u can use it.
*
QUOTE(deodorant @ Mar 14 2008, 09:21 AM)
Mine tak boleh leh. Reboot also, nothing happens when I try to launch =\
*
You don't need to reboot your handphone to run RockNScroll. But you need a plugin called N95AccelerometerPlugin.sis to enable the accelerometer for the application. icon_idea.gif

Once u have installed both. Just run RockNScroll and leave tat program running by pressing Menu button. Then can play around with it. But I felt it's too sensitive like the Nokmote. shakehead.gif

but the problem is previous symbian like n80 n73 has a memory leak problem, within a week the ram will drop from 20MB to 5 MB, making the phone unable to use. hope u understand. smile.gif
*
My N82 has 93.1M RAM when I started, then after a while of use, gaming, calls, some apps, etc. It will left 85~86MB, even if I've closed all applications as shown on Taskman. So I guess there are certain programs that did not get closed properly. But still left alot of RAM to use. laugh.gif

By default N82 doesn't have a FLV player, but you can install a free player called Emtube to watch Youtube videos, download and replay FLV files. icon_idea.gif

QUOTE(calk @ Mar 26 2008, 09:50 AM)
Anybody try the video recording function? I am planning to buy this phone as I am expecting a new born baby on June..so waiting for the price to go down as well as to know whether how good is the video recording function..Can we burn those video recorded using N82 into a DVD since it claim that the resolution is 640X480@30fps so should it have DVD quality?? I do have a viewcam and digital camera..but sometime feel those are not handy enough as compare to a phone..Also, any good recommendation for good place to buy this phone in Klang Valley with good discount and trade-in? Appreciate all sifu advice..Thanks in advance smile.gif
*
Congratz with ur baby, you definitely won't go wrong with this N82 !! The video recording is comparable with any digital camera. icon_idea.gif
Video is smooth, zoom-able while recording, audio recorded is loud enough, but the auto-focus is constantly on which means the AF LED light is on all the time while recording. I've actually replaced it over my camera since I always carrying it haha tongue.gif
