Think usually you can always arrange with the contractors.
Some would allow staggered payments/installments.

pay as per stages when they show u the bill of materials tht they bought for the renovation .

anyway, negotiable, coz sometimes owner not so free to check the bill, will pay downpayment % then followed by full payment or partial payment as time goes by.

wardrobe and kitchen you can go furniture shop or specialty shop and they would do for you once you buy the set. Some would also offer installment payment via CC.

Depending on how much work you're doing. And whether the unit is vacant.

Kitchen cabinet cost count by ft run.
While wardrobe, normal double door type around RM800-1000.
If sliding door type RM1500-2000.

All price quoted is using ABS.

You can design yourself too. Even Ikea has those sort of mix and match concepts. After you have chosen, they would basically come to your house and install.
But obviously you need to get your measurements correct.

Well accually it also depends on the contractor. Small time contractors will require partial payment or in other words down payment. This is very important for most contractors because customers tends to change their mind often and after installing the stuff not willing to pay.

Therefore most contractors will collect payment by stages to ensure they get their money. Also they will have to pay their suppliers and all.

Just to share how I paid my contractor, I paid 20% as down-payment and my aunt paid 35% for down-payment. (I paid less for deposit because my renovation cost is substantially less)

After the work is done we settled the full amount and we paid using Credit Card.

We also had the walk-in wardrobe and cabinets done by my aunt for her house, by the same contractor and paid using CC.

We shopped around to compare prices for cabinet and walk-in wardrobe but had everything done by our contractor for much cheaper.

One important thingy to take into consideration.
- The price for minor & major renovation works differ even for the same item/work.
