hi guys, juz wanna ask. when is the right time to do an engine overhaul? my current odometer is clocked at 127k km. so far no overhaul had been done. juz normal car servicing, change some parts and so on. if need to overhaul, what are the things need to be fix?

depends, if your engine is still oke, just continue to use it, overhaul can increase the lifespan of the car, but the question is, would you be using the car in the next 50giga meter? if yes, then its worth it, if not, then consider using it till you next car change. often overhaul happens when the engine fails to perform proper combustion or internal faults, other might be loss of power or high fuel consumption.

so far i think the fuel consumption is pretty decent. i dun think gonna sell this car off in the future. think it would last for the family to use. juz wanna know whether is it necessary or compulsory to do an engine overhaul.
