Does that mean there will be some wires hanging around? sweat.gif
I thought the VR is something like the SMD LED which is soldered directly into the board and nothing will be hanging around.

I don't want any wires hanging around as i'm afraid if something bad will happen when i'm attaching something on the board as my hands are shaky.

Sigh.
Wondering either i still should go on with the GTL Ref mod or just buy that Abit IX38 Quad GT. rclxub.gif

Sorry for my noobness in electronics. blush.gif

LOL! Ask empire23 how he's going to do it. The mod are different for each brand.

I think i have to cancel buying the Abit IN9 32X Max mod and modding it.
Instead, i'm buying a complete EVGA 680i Rev. A1.

No worries, no modding needed. blush.gif

2nd hand, eitherway, how much do you see people sell EVGA 680i Rev. A1 in this forum for 2nd hand?

They all sell at RM700 and above! A new unit still cost RM950 from bulk order. shakehead.gif
While i got it at a price tag of RM501 man! wub.gif

Will update some overclocking results later.

The system:
CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600 G0
Mainboard: EVGA nForce 680i SLI
Ram: OCZ NVIDIA(R) SLI(tm) Ready Edition DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 4GB Kit [2X2GB
Graphics: 2 X XFX Nvidia 8800GT 512MB Alpha Dog Edition
PSU: Silverstone DA750

Not sure either my DA750 can support the system or not since this is my first time going for SLi.
Before this i've tried 2 X 2900XT on Crossfire, never tested SLi, this is my first time going for SLi.

Should i go for 8800GTS G92 instead of 8800GT? hmm.gif

I didn't use DA750 when i'm on 2900XT crossfire la. sweat.gif

When i'm on 2900XT Crossfire, i'm using an OP1000.

8800GT & 8800GTS G92 consumes much much lesser wattage than 2900XT right?
That's why i'm asking either my DA750 can support the whole system or not. blush.gif

OP1000 has too many wires hanging around. sweat.gif

Hi guys. Been reading this thread with a great deal of interest. It has taught me quite a bit since I'm planning to get a new Penryn-based rig next year. I would like an SLI system. Just need to know whether a budget of about RM7-8k will get me a good one with at least 8800GT graphics?
