I guess this deal is not meant for us.

If it does, then we have to spend another RM200-RM400 for shipping 'em out to USA and the way-back here. smile.gif

Not really.
It can be done with lower cost of shipping if it is done by doing bulk collection too.

Make it like when you do bulk sales, the intention is to lower the shipping cost right?
So, do a bulk collection on EVGA 680i boards then, collect the EVGA 680i boards, and price that buyers have to pay to exchange their board which is USD$ 89.99 [RM297] then add the shipping charges which is distributed among those that have the boards.

No?

Dont forget the cost of buying a spare mobo for use while ur 680 is away for the exchange. If u count the cost of all the money involved, time, hassle. It'd b much easier to jsut go and buy a new 780 n sell of teh 680 in our dearest LYN Garage. biggrin.gif

Yea, I saw that. Guess not many of those who owns them wanna upgrade anytime soon. 680i SLI is still a great board, despite A1 is necessary to OC quadcore processor. Alternative would be Striker Extreme, but it's expensive.

I'm also waiting for someone to offer me the older version of EVGA 680i motherboard which i can send to a friend of mine, a forumer in this forum who i call "The God Of Electric & Electronic" which he can help me upgrade the board to Rev. A1.

I've posted about how to upgrade the old EVGA 680i to Rev. A1 and showed it to him and he himself that's a really easy job and he seriously said that he can do it.

Aih, no one wants to sell their EVGA 680i mobo ka?
I'm thinking about buying the INNO3D 680i mobo from kingmaker_20 since it's the cheapest right now and send it to that modder and upgrade to Rev. A1.

GTL ref voltage mod, and I bet it's empire23. If it's that easy and not costly, Asus P5N32-E SLI would be nice as well.

Let me know about it. And good luck on your purchase. My only reason for selling off my P5N32-E SLI is because of the GTL rev voltage problem with paired with Q6600, else would have still being using it right now. What other choices of 680i SLI board for quadcore without modding the GTL voltage besides eVGA A1 Rev and Striker Extreme Rev. 2?

Not much man.
Because i've checked a lot, and i only found out that only XFX & EVGA has Rev. A1 for overclocking quadcores. sweat.gif

XFX 680i have the GTL fixed without modding? eVGA new A1 is RM8XX which kinda out of the budget for the moment.

Not sure but i think i've seen it somewhere.
Eitherway, if XFX do has the Rev. A1, i'm sure the price will be the same as the EVGA 680i Rev. A1.

I've talked to empire23 just a minute ago on the phone about helping me doing the GTL Ref mod for the Abit IN9 32X Max i'm going to buy and he said:
"Yes, i can do that, it's pretty easy and it's not going to be costly since i have all the hardwares, i'll only need to buy a 500ohms VR which is around RM5 ~ RM10." rclxm9.gif

Now, what i must do is buy the Abit IN9 32X Max motherboard first, once it is done, i shall send the motherboard to him for the GTL Ref mod. rclxm9.gif

I'm getting a 2nd hand Abit IN9 32X Max by the way, and the seller is selling it an uber cheap price that it'll shock you. laugh.gif

Hoho, good for you. VR cost RM2.50 actually. Could be workmanship that's included. Update us how it's going and see if after modding, can go over 320FSB or not. smile.gif
