EDIT: Now I'm a bit skeptical after Ezonics pointed out to me that it looks like R600. The card in the case don't have 2 heatsinks and the PCI-E power input is spread out like R600 prototype.

Did you see the 2 larger heatsinks (compared to RV670)? One for each processor.

Ah, my bad...I think the GPU is indeed R600.

When you see PSU being labelled as SLI or CF compatible, you'ld know that they have more than 1 PCI-E connector. Open it up and check to be certain. If they won't let you, don't buy it from that shop. As a consumer, you have every right to check the stuff that you are about to buy with hard-earned money. It's not RM1 or 2 purchase. It's hundreds of ringgit...

Do you realize that it is 2560x1600 resolution?

These days...30" is the common monitor to be used for high end graphics card. Those cards only prove their worth when they are run at high resolution.

Crysis will still tax HD4xxx series lar...so don't expect much. Unless CF R680 or something.

Launch date on 23rd? Hopefully...Guess retail are starting to pile up on stock now.

Let's not get over-demanding. Crytek purposely designed Crysis to be a 100-ton King Kong. Even NVIDIA has a hard time trying to run it smoothly even though it's The Way It's Meant To Be Played. NVIDIA were the guys who gave life to Crytek originally, remember? I like the way Crytek is pushing the GPU limits...it means that we are advancing well. I hate to let it be stagnant like the consoles...I have nothing against the consoles though.

You like many others...choose to ignore the fact that it ran on 2560x1600 resolution...not 1280x1024.

Sigh...did I even mentioned 3dmark06? I guess you are referring to the one I post. Well, as you like. Go Google some more. Find the one whereby R680 can run Crysis at "playable" frame rate at 2560x1600 while HD3870 just stutter along.

I feel that there's a compelling need to benchmark your CPU as well. In a game, the GPU will handle the graphics (shadows, AA, lighting, etc.) but the CPU handles a hell lot of stuffs as well (AI - everyone in the game and not just those you see on screen - their movement, behaviour, etc., pathfinding - everyone as well, audio - if using onboard solution, physics - w/o Ageia, mapping, etc.) CPU is just as important for 3D.

Because of R680? Won't affect much...but maybe lots of people ditch their HD3870 for the R680 lah. And you can get them cheap 2nd hand

Yeah...and don't forget that people want to make extra for the first 2 months since it is "HOT" item...

That's similar to getting 2 HD3870 and CF...Hoping this R680 can run without the need of a CF board.

Let's wait and see the bulk price for this then
