there are many LCD monitors and HDTV that "supports" 1080p through scaling. but a native 1080p display is more expensive. depends on what you are looking for.

The Dell 27" around 2k++. i'm using that atm and no complains. I think the 24" also can support 1080p but need forumners to verify this. You need to use a separate speakers btw.

wanna ask, cuz i google and saw ppl mention that if use hdmi to tv then the optical audio out cannot use. if so the case how do i connect to a 5.1 speaker?
