the reason bac
poor dividend with highest value 60-70 usd
no doubt bac is a dividend counter but inview of current TARP bac need some time to digest what he had eaten..
please remember bac do not have permanent capital loss like citigroup or aig.
it have better potential than anyone.

march i am looking at bcs barclays, bought 1000share.. i think this is a good counter as well for 1/2 speculative and 1/2 investment purpose.

i bought bac at 3.7usd 1000share and another 1000share at 5usd., 500 share at 11.5usd
i am holding them thru thick and thin. i believe my effort will be paid off by the time i pass on to my son or daughter.

good luck with all the investment.

50 counter are just nice;
5 counter =reit
5counter=energy
10 counter = banking+finance + insurance
10 counter= consumer staples eg pep,ko,bkc,mcd,yum,kft,
10 counter=industrial product ge gd,lmt,ford,dd, dow
5counter=gaming industry lvs,mgm,dis
5counter= raw material bhp, riotinto, alcoa,

only new investor will own one to two counter, believe me i been like that before..trust me you will understand at some point of time.
not everyone can manage huge portfolio like 50 .. try 10 then 25 or 35 ..
this come with experience.

hi norman,

You got a big portfolio there. It is very true you know, "The rich gets Richer"
By looking at your holdings which are mainly Blue Chips I am very sure there are plenty of money to come in the future. thumbup.gif

The current downturn represents a great opportunity to invest. We don't know for sure if the market has reach it's bottom but in the long run.....
Just look at the Dow's Graph.

i am actually worry too with this chart;
but everysingle govemant is playing politic economic now , u guy think this govermant allow their composite index to fall again like somewhere 1985,?
before ko coca cola company come to near 5usd i will use all my money buying at somewhere around 20usd already...
sit and think is it rational dowjone to come down somewhere 4000-5000?

i think mr market= behave like a women, u will never understand them.

every country and nation have stimulus package, even malaysia, indonesia....
that mean goverment are very much concern of our current situation, even free country like america, their goverment also involve in financial institution, which shouldnt be happening..

ko--> i bought earlier at 40usd 500 share, with their dividend are unquestionally solid, thought only 3% after tax. but they are brand with global influence..it is also one of the buffet greatest asset,
but let me mind u he bought at 5usd pershare..
pep--> equally good, i have 500share of this company with my average price 50usd.
just follow buffet principal...

i have a bunch of friend in singapore,
they ask me how will you sure sogotrade wont burst as they claim even though they are sipc insured, will they still exist after 50yrs.
this group of friend that i know of is long term investor, they are investing in jnj, pg, ko, kft,mo,rai,xom.
so they need some secure in there place they keep their stock.
there is no doubt it have happen many time in usa that many brokerage that broke their manage sold their client share and hide somewhere in tahiti island.
so that sipc have to act to compensate all investor,
sorry to tell that the last time indymac that went down it took them forever for that fund to be paid to any investor.

this is a attachement to open a usa habc premier account with share trading facilities.
the trick is you need at least 100,000 usd to open this account.
but i believe for those in this circle is a peanut.
you will get a check books. debit card and hsbc premier mastercard for free ,as long you mantain 100,000usd at any time.
ontop of those you can establish a hsbc premier account in singapore hongkong australia or uk once you are premier customer.
sound good?
after all if hsbc does collapse i believe that none of the financial institution wont face any trouble

contact this persn for more info;

Added on November 29, 2009, 11:11 ammalaysia cimb la maybank la all pretty safe too but where is your check book, debit card or mastercard?
after all their credit card not user friendly as hsbc is global.
if you are a frequent traveller try hsbc premier.
