see garage sales see cheap cheap pcie card then buy la

voltdrop? what psu u using...also see what hardware you fix to that comp..try to disconnect some hardware and see still so low or will increase

no worries bro, the readings are off. I was scared dead the first time i saw it and mine reads 8.6
Tested with Multimeter and PSU is fine. Its our board's issue. It does indeed seems like a very early stage to get 790FX, many softwares doesnt ready properly form its voltage/temperature sensors. Im having couple of other issues as well.
dude... if your 12v drops to 7v, theres no way he still can boot into windows and take that screenshot

im currently running on bios 1.31 (beta). As for the software, on what i researched, none of the msi software works properly for K9A2 Plat, so, i can't either. Only the new AMD Overdrive (beta version) can be used.

As for your proc, i dont think its your board, it the end, black edition is still a brisbane, and a limit to a brisbane is about there regardless even if its a BE.

btw, what vcore are u using to push to 3.3Ghz?
The PSU rails has nothing to do with the proc bro. His 12v rail readings are off due to the board.
Your PC will not boot at all if the 12v rail drops down to 7v.

hmmm... corecell? i thought its supposed to be dualcorecenter?

oit...if i using good cpu cooler like xigmatek...but if i pump Vcore to high like 1.5V,did it effect to temp?

i'm using MSI K9A2 CF and having the discrepency voltage reading like u.

speedfan and everest show 10.21v only, really scared me
however, voltage reading in bios and MSI Dual Core Center seem to be more realistic, 11.88v.

as u know, the max cpu voltage available in bios is just 1.49v.
so, i think this board is not suitable for exetreme oc until the new release bios support > 1.5v.
currently i'm running:
CPU 3.2ghz, 320 fsb, mutiple 10 @ 1.389v;
RAM either 800Mhz, 4-4-4-12, (533 strap) or 1066Mhz, 5-5-5-15 (667 strap) @ 2.2v ,
HTT link x4 (1280Mhz) or x5 (1600Mhz) also no problem,
NB and HTT voltage is using DEFAULT voltage.

i did tried 3.3ghz and 3.4ghz before, but it need 1.49v. However, i notice that the pwm and mofset are DAMN HOT!! like boiling water...
i guest this is the reason why they limit the max voltage at 1.49v.

is that bundle software from Msi?

my setting now is 260 x 12 @ 3.12ghz.. ram @ 800
really hard to push to 3.2...  i've try to set 3.1ghz @ default.. but orthos failed..
must up the voltage.. now stable @ 3.12... is it problem with my psu or BIOS setting?

I have found something... thought of something actually.

Using built-in VGA seems to limit my memory overclocking. Before this, with 7300GT PCIe, my Crucial value can be overclocked up till 580mhz 5-5-5-2T with 2.3V. However now I'm using the built-in VGA, could hardly reach 555mhz with the same voltage and timing.
