Just lap my beloved proc.The IHS is damn worst without lap.
The edge is sticking up than the middle..now is flat and smooth.
improve about 10c from load temp..

But the weird thing is still the diff temp btw the core.
It doesnt change much!....

Hi sifus. Just got myself a Biostar TA690G AM2 and Windsor F3 3800+ lately, been trying to oc but very confuse about the settings in bios. I think I'm so outdated in oc nowadays, so any help would be much apreciated, maybe a simple guide of how to start would be helpful. Thanks.

My PC specs:

Windsor F3 3800+
Biostar TA690G AM2(flash to bios R69AMC13 frm lejabeach.com)
Cosair XMS2 PC6400
Silverstane ST56F
Radeon X1950XT

 
You can use 3.45GHz @ 1.45v. Nice setting you have there

anyone can help me.. My 3800 f3 only can push to 2.6Ghz.     
This is what I do
fsb : 260
vcore : 1.20V
ram : 667Mhz but I set it to 533, so my ram divider now is 8
vdram : 1.90V
timing : change from 5-5-5-18 to 4-4-4-12 2T
HTT : set to 4x

After that I cannot push fsb higher than 264 though I set vcore higher than 1.20V. My computer fail to boot.
For information, I use asus m2n-e,acbel 350W psu, and kingston value ram. Maybe one of them give me limit to overclock my procc 

yaa i know is cheap but u just add rm10 more you can get asus m3a mobo..dont know abt its capability for OC lah..
which is better m3a or m3a32-mvp mobo??i know the m3a32-mvp use 790fx chipset..but is way freakin expensive man.. 

p/s:- sorry if i bring up this mobo discussion again..dont be mad haa sifux OClockers  ..i just frustrated    i cant OC using my current mobo dats all
