I was in ADP in HELP, and transfered to US and graduated.
It is actually just depends on the uni you are going to transfer. Follow the guide in choosing subjects!

I'd say that the main thing is not about can/cannot transfer to US if you meet the requirement. You may need to check on how good is the course in particular universities (HELP, Taylors, Inti, etc. )

wads da difference between ADP and ADTP?

Look this is what I found in a website.

Having know about the ADP, the ADTP (American Degree Transfer Program) is a more specialized program. This is because there has been quite some criticism about the generic nature of the ADP which students are not that comfortable with. The ADTP is actually modeled after the ADP in which it is more skewed towards a specific degree which the student is interested in later. Look at it as a foundation course which are preparatory modules for the later stages.

The main difference between the ADP and the ADTP is in its specialization. The ADTP provides you with the fundamentals of what you need to know if you are to enroll in a specific field later. That means if you are intending to get a bachelors in Information Technology, then you will enroll into an ADTP program which gives you all the fundamentals and basics of IT, like database, basic programming and such.

Another difference here is in the partner universities. In the past, most American higher learning institutions accept you if you have enough credits in all different fields. The ADTP functions in that, the course is designed with a certain partner university in the United States which sort of provide you with all the feeder knowledge you need prior to going there.

While the ADP is widely accepted not only in the United States but also in other countries like the United Kingdom and New Zealand, the ADTP is less flexible. Hence, before you enroll into any of the ADTP programs, ensure that the partner university is one that you are looking to go to later.

Whether it is the ADP or the ADTP, one thing you have to be sure prior to your enrolment is that you have to be certain of two main issues. The first one is that you are comfortable with a different education system altogether, where you will undergo various types of subjects before actually getting into the specialization you are after. This means that if you are into Accounting, chances are you might not be tapping in figures vigorously until your third year perhaps. Secondly, you have to be pretty much sure that you are going to continue your studies in the United States. This is because while the ADP programs are accepted in other countries, the easiest and most convenient way to transfer your credits are through to the American institutes, otherwise you might want to consider other options.

Hi there,
I'm not sure how to get into a medical school in US, but I guess it's the same way-submit online/paper application to the universities that you're interested in.
I'd say there is no guarantee that you can go into a particular university even if you have high CGPA, they're looking for more. At the same time, I'm not sure if you're going for a degree/master/phD. The requirement is different.
As about the tuition fees, it really depends on the university and location. What I had in my kinda small town area university is about USD $ 15,000 per 9 month academic year. I somehow don't think Malaysia government provide scholarship for this, but I'm not sure. You may apply scholarship in the university itself! smile.gif Hope it helps.

Haha, my program is actually ADTP program.. I was in HELP University College and I transferred to a HELP-partner university in US. I submitted application, took TOEFL, prepared all needed documents. HELP guided me in the application too. While studying in ADTP Malaysia, you need to figure out what course to take, so you wont have to  take it again to fulfill the particular core subject in order to graduate. As for American program, you are required to take some core subjects like English, Statistics, social sciences, other electives that you can choose from the university. I had some fun electives in the US, like social dance, yoga, swimming, downhill skiing, etc..

As for degree, most schools require CGPA 2.0 above (some required higher CGPA 2.8) TOEFL, recommendation letter, personal background/interest statement, etc. International applicants are evaluated twice mostly, one by the program and another by the International Student Office (bank statement stated that you have sufficient fund for an academic year).

For a degree, it is still okay if you meet all the requirement, unlike Masters, they required strong GRE, resume, strong recommendation letter, experience in that course. I'm going back to the States for Masters and Specialist in another few more days.
