Yeah..and they got lots of stocks too.
Anyway, the standard cooler on 8800GT is starting to get me worried. My friend's MSI crashed after like 10 mins of playing "Stranglehold".

wow... isn't tat game sux...? i'm very surprised... blink.gif not enough power maybe...?

QUOTE(craxors @ Dec 16 2007, 07:17 PM)
dont know why people having this problems..
i have 8800gt zotac amp version..
playing nfsps, crysis, cod4 for hours..not crash even once..using stock cooler thou..
or maybe...not the time to crash yet... sweat.gif
or maybe...i just being lucky.. smile.gif

idle : 53 - 55..most time stay at 54..
load : 60 - 70..

wooo.... my HD2600XT used to went tat got... now i remove the plastic cover juz leave the heatsink... change the thermal paste to Cooler master Nano Fusion and put a 1200rpm 8cm fan blow directly to it...
now idle 43-48(rainy days are best... thumbup.gif ) full load 53-60... and a direct touch on the center of the sink can be very hot... BTW those temp are taken from Catalyst...

get a 80mm or 90mm vizo windstorm fan and blow directly to it will do too, it is 5800rpm! but need to bear its "screaming" noise too sweat.gif

i got a 8cm Vantec Tornado... measured wif CPU-Z and it goes up to 68** rpm... noisier than my mum's hair dryer... so now juz leave it in some corner d... shakehead.gif

The answer is easy, manufacturing cost of game is way lower than a cooler ..

So bundle with game is much more cheaper than cooler ..

So why should invest on the cooler since most user might not even appreciate the cooler ... many still not aware of the true capability of the performance cooler ..
*
agreed... and hardcore gamers who buy RM800 and above GC will be willing to spend on high end custom coolers anyway...

QUOTE(clanx @ Dec 18 2007, 07:06 PM)
i dont think 88GT generates alot of heat....just adjust the fan speed and make sure good ventilation in ur system and you good to go....
*
err.... u sure...? 8600GTS already generate a rather higher than average heat already... which is around 50-60(idle)...
i personally think tat maintaining ur GC temp to below 60(full load) is the best...

QUOTE(clanx @ Dec 18 2007, 08:02 PM)
its probably because they didn't tune correctly...this GC stock fan speed is 25%....so imagine how hot will it be under load but for those who setup correctly, the average temp range shud be round 54C~73C
*
err... it's suppose to be auto tuned base on sensor to maintain silence... sweat.gif

I saw it too  tongue.gif  Gigabyte got lots potential on overclocking..

But, do we need to oc this VGA coz its powerfull at stock speed already  flex.gif

gigabyte memang got loads of potential if not for their stupid Silent pipe... I would yell and scream at their creators for creating such expensive rubbish if i were Gigabyte's chairman... vmad.gif

i can't really agree wif u guys tat COD4 is better than crysis... COD4 is juz covered wif dust and smokes... without those smokes and dust u can see their flaws... anyway i prefer MOHA... hmm.gif nod.gif
