Hey TS, you may want to add in the owners list...just a suggestion. Maybe separate those with stock coolers and those with 3rd party coolers, and their temperatures and their OC speeds, etc.

Whoa...I don't even own a 8800GT yet. Still contemplating to either buy this or the 8800GTS.

Yeah, well...GTS is having drivers issue now. So you really can't judge it as it is now. Wait till January and see how the OC goes, and then, I'll make my purchase.

Yo people, I don't even own a 8800GT and I'm not Topic Starter, so don't post them specs out cause I'm not going to be able to pin them up.

Any GOOD brand will do Say, Asus, XFX, BFG, EVGA...

That's hard to say. What are your specs and what resolution and details are you aiming?

Get a 8800GT 512MB. But if you can afford it, go for 8800GTS 512MB. Mind you, the GTS may or may not have problems with drivers.

Whoa FuGZ...did you even OC it in the beginning?

Why can't the manufacturer of graphics card partner with manufacturer of coolers? Would love to see how they come up with enthusiast board. Throw away free games, I want a good heatsink.

I know those...but what about high end heatsinks? Come on...XFX paired with Thermalright. Now that'll be cool.

Added on December 16, 2007, 4:22 pmSparkle's 8800GT Passive came bundle with a heatsink almost similar to Thermalright's HR-03...albeit with only 3 heatpipes, lower amount of fins, and small size. And it's orientation is the ATX style...of which, is not optimized for the card's cooling.

I think they'll retail for RM1k and below...which is still reasonable.

Prices in Singapore are way much cheaper than in Malaysia...wish I could ask my bro to get one.

What's your ambient temperature? Aircon or fan?

Aiks...no wonder la. So your ambient temperature can't be actually measured. But I guess the fan plays a factor in cooling everything in your chassis.

Mediocre CPU bottlenecks GPU. GPU is meant to calculate Graphics: shadows, AA, filtering, textures, etc. Things like AI, map loading, path finding, etc. are calculated by the CPU.

It is the temperature that warrants the purchase...no temp readings, make it hard for people to judge the feasibility of the Glaciator heatsink/cooler.
