Well, their things aren't really that cheap although with good service.
They don't really stock up on a lot of nice stuff and their system is fixed so the prices can't be negotiated.
With that kind of setup, they don't even have an online price list. So it's very troublesome to go to their shop just to see if they have the item you're looking for and at what price...

Their shop isn't even near other computer shops which you can go around comparing price also...

I like them though... But just lazy to visit them.

Must be I unlucky then... I usually go to the parking outside komtar/prangin mall because I couldn't find a proper parking spot inside... Besides, it's cheaper.

I wonder what is you guys latest experience with Nanyang PC shop at 1 Stop?

I just had an awfully bad one myself.

Was looking for Sandisk Contour 8GB Flash Drive and they are selling for RM109. I think the price was alright for a solid and reliable flash drive. Hence I asked them to show me the item from a locked glass closet.

At first glance, I notice the box has been opened before and immediately  question the stuff. they claimed it was unbox for testing purposes. I assume it was a display unit and hence inquired whether it would be further discounted. They claim this item will have no more price reduction.

The next thing I notice was a tiny burn-in mark on the USB connector. It's the evidence that this item had been heavily used before. I took out another 2 x 16GB Contour (display units) from the glass closet and I didn't see any burn-in mark at all.

I totally feel cheated. A rather expensive item has been used but they insist to sell it off on a brand new price. Not to mention too, they thought we as consumer are not able to detect whether the item was unbox for testing or been heavily used for whatever purposes.

I loathe this type of dishonest retailer and will definitely stop support their business or reputation from now onward.

I do feel that Nanyang is just the same as PCdepot. Lousy service and lots of dishonest salesmen. I was only lucky to met only 1 good salesman from Nanyang before, that was it. The rest was shit.

Does anyone know any good shops on the Penang mainland side besides Gadget Zone? Preferably in the BM/Alma area.

Try looking for Hikari? Although she doesn't really have a physical shop... Try browsing around her threads around Lowyat.net. smile.gif

For me, PC Depot xD

PCDepot = Last choice. Close eye, go in, get item, pay, go out, forget about whatever after sales service you'll have. You'd probably get better after sales service from second hand PC shops.

I Never bought from her before also wor. Just heard a lot of people giving good comments about her.

I realize her stuff also not the cheapest. But to me, sometimes I rather buy something slightly more expensive then to buy something cheap and regret later.

Example, Buying from Keypoint or Makson will make you really really regret. These are the 2 most banned shops in my list.
