I used to own a CBU 1.6cc Black Getz way back when it first came into M'sia(2004) its was Auto(SG had a manual though) and 4 door(wanted 2 door, again SG already had it  Loved every minute of it, sadly when my family grew, I sold it for a bigger car. All in all it was a fun car, nice to drive handles well and fits 4 adults perfectly There is a club, www.getzclub.com.my you guys can get more info there.... |

About spark plugs, if you don't mind of using normal type, it's not an issue as long as you always stick to the maintenance interval and DIY the spark plugs replacement yourself. Somebody informed that not so much difference between high quality and normal one. Obvious reason though, the high quality type is catered for longer replacement interval time. Usually used for difficult-to-take-out the spark plugs from the engine such as boxer type. IIANM Subaru engine is boxer type. BTW, I'm using Chemlube SAE 10w30 SM API grade. So far it serves me well, but wohh ur Bardahl kept yellowish after 5K mileage? That damn nice, I quite tempted to try this Bardahl, some more it's cheaper than Chemlube. The ABS+EBD is only available from CBU FL Getz which has 4 disk brakes.If you want to confirm, slot in the key and turn to on. the ABS light should come up if there's one. not sure if getz does have the ABS light though. btw, I'm using a 1.3 Pre-FL getz. |

i've some problem with my getz. The check engine light came on for awhile and goes off while i'm driving the car. Can outside service centre fix the problem or should i send it back to authorized service center like kah motor to check on them? Not sure whether they need a machine to diagnose the problem or not.

I just bought a CKD Getz 1.4A high line below 54k at sep 08 come with skirt+fog lamp , 4 disc brake, 2 airbag and abs all together with 5 years warranty period.
Initially no ABS light then send to SC and replace the meter with ABS light. This happen to all high line model with ABS according to the SC. Now i am confident to say that my getz 2007 high line model got ABS. BTW, i am using chemlube 10 - 30W lubricant oil. The engine noise became louder. Current millage achieve ~5k and FC is 10.8 litter per 100km. Plan to use K&N drop in filter and Sun Auto Hot Inazma Hyper Voltage LR (Low Rev) but wondering will it help to improve the getz low torque performance or not. Another concern is the waranty. i just wrote in other Topic, bur i'll write it again here . Now there are promotion for the Inokom 1.4(auto) 2007 model selling for only 48K+bodykit+foglamp+free phone.Total saving is about 15K.And for the 2008 model, the price is 54K,no bodykit,no foglamp,free phone.
As i wanted to buy a car for my wife, this is very tempting.But hat are the pros and cons if i buy the 2007 model? |

so far so good.. FC so good.. not high.. but still average la... want save FC go viva price i buy 52.6k Getz inokom 1.4 auto model 2008.. no abs, single air bag, no fog lamp, no BK.. Getz still available for sale.. new model 2008.. but still new. production only 2008... im very2 interested latest Getz SE.. so cool.. but i buy to early... my getz- just bought tinted safety.. later wanna buy sport rim then BK.. |

hiya, anyone has the slightest idea when i20 will be available in malaysia? the launch date has been widely speculated, some stating march 2009, some july 2009, some september 2009, but till now i don't see any news of its impending launch. could it be that it's waiting for the budget 2010 announcement?
well assuming that the budget 2010 won't make any difference to the car prices in malaysia (i believe 99% of malaysians thinks so ), anyone has any speculation on its price? i've come across one site and it said a 3-door i20 will cost RM66.5k while the top of the line 5-door will cost RM83k. not that tempting i might say...and so much for being in the getz price range |

hey guys,
recently my atos got big problem and needed more than 3k plus to repair. As there's no guarantee that the car will be ok after repair, my dad is suggesting to change the car with getz 1.4. my atos is yr 2003(A) so the sales ppl said the most they can offer is RM 12k and the getz he is offering is RM56k, will give discount of 5k. But i'm not sure what are the specs he's offering and which manufacturing yr too. i've tried to browse the internet but got confused. seems like now they're only offering 2008 manufacturing car is it? will there be any problem for the car as it has been idle a yr. I never thought of changing to a hyundai car actually, i'm actually saving for either a vios or city but..bad luck falls upon me n my car fell sick and bedridden may i know what are the specs that getz have now actually? some said got abs, some said no..some got airbag, some no..bit confusing thanks dear forummers for your kind input! |

i buy getz 1.4 SE manual recently..the price is rm60,386. The normal getz 1.4 is around rm58k.
i like this SE bcoz of the nice bodypart and nice interior and the price are not too differ. i like manual becoz is fuel save and faster. i like the DOHC 16V engine. smooth and steady.Se getz and normal getz now for what i've heard is no ABS/EBD. but hyundai i10 got it. i'm not really sure. please ask the hyundai salesperson. thats all. hope it help. you can visit hyundai or inokom website. |

Normal Getz only has 1 airbag, 2 disc brake,No ABS. I am not sure 2009 model as my information is base on 2008 model. You can easily detect ABS light on dashboard when u turn on the engine(Show 3 second).
Mine is High-Spec Getz come with 2 Airbag, 4 disc brake & ABS. |

hey guys,
do advice me on this My sister is planning to sell her 4 year old Hyundai Getz 1.3 (A) as she is going to work in singapore soon but she have not finish paying it as it has another 26k more (29 months more to go). I am working as sales and i need to travel far sometimes and also move around KL/PJ area often. Issit advisable for me to continue paying for it. I have read a lot regarding the 1.3 (A) bad FC and yes i have driven it and i say it is almost as bad as my manual 1.3 Potong Wira. I am scared after i buy this car, i will be driving something similar to my current car. any advice??? thanks |

Dear all, I have a 1.4 Getz SE. but my front bodykit is detached from the black lining from both ends. So now the bodykit is kinda ugly coz its not screwed to the lining.
both the lining are worned out. Is there any place that I can buy the lining from? |

If u get 1.6 and 1.3, it should be around year 2003-2006 if I'm not wrong. If 1.4 should be 2007 onwards if im not wrong. U figure it out urself, newer engine or older engine is better? In the end, it boils down to yr right foot....both version have very little difference in 2nd hand price

I'm driving the 1.3a Getz only. Very underpowered, high fc and loud engine noise but it's very solid and tough compared to myvi milo tin. If I have the choice, personally I would go for 1.4 version. If u go for 1.6a, u still have to prepare some money to repair some wear and tear parts since its old and mileage should be high already. While the 1.4, shouldn't have any major service yet. Think carefully and welcome to the Getz world

Hello all, my father may take my getz later, the car is in good condition, only problem is the driver side mirror which is magnifying, me and my wife lived with it, but it is indeed very dangerous as it makes more blind spot to those cars closely behind. Any sifu here fixed the issue?

The image is a lot larger than left hand side and rear mirror, creating wrong impression on distance from the cars at the back. Mine is 04 cbu, 1.3. I checked my friends car also like that. I guess they didn't swap the mirror during conversion from left hand drive to right hand.

Sorry for interupting,Just trying to help out. Good news for Hyundai Getz 1.4 dohc owners. I have 3 sets of brand new Hyundai Original Engine short assembly for clearance. It is attached with new pistons,crankshaft,engine block,piston rings and bearings. Why spend so much on overhaul??While you can just get a brand new engine. Retail price : Rm 5402 , NOW only Rm 2500. i still use custom bodykit, very very AFRAID if want to go basement. i always avoid basement parking. btw, may i know where to get front bumper SE PU version ? cant really stand if forever needs to avoid basement parking.

Hi All,
Not sure if Getz club members still active. My father's Getz has been sold, but found some parts in storeroom. So lettting it go here. The parts are all new unopen box still as my father got it from Hyundai directly. (with sales invoice) 1. Brake pads x 1 bought for RM223.00 2. Oil Filter x 2 bought for RM39.78 All these 3 items letting go for RM200. Dealing methods: I am in Seremban 2.
