Usually used for difficult-to-take-out the spark plugs from the engine such as boxer type. IIANM Subaru engine is boxer type. BTW, I'm using Chemlube SAE 10w30 SM API grade. So far it serves me well, but wohh ur Bardahl kept yellowish after 5K mileage? That damn nice, I quite tempted to try this Bardahl, some more it's cheaper than Chemlube.
