This card is going to charge you RM2.50 for no activity in any month which comes to RM30 per year. This is in the new T&C starting in Dec 14.

Can we withdraw our existing BIG debit card balance from ATMs ?
I think I'm going to cancel my new BIG debit card cos of the high RM16 processing fee. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Dec 19 2014, 11:39 PM) i suggest you all to check the fee structure before accepting the new card. they are basically killing their product. I agree. I've over RM500 balance in my old card and after the funds have been transferred to my new card, I'll withdraw all thr' ATM (no choice but to pay the RM6 withdrawal fee), then I'll terminate the card as much much cheaper to buy AA tickets at just RM4 per transaction thr' direct transfer (MBB, PBB, CIMB, RHB, HLB, BI) vs using the new card which charge a high RM16 per passenger (means if buy for a family of 5 will cost a whooping RM80 vs just RM4 for direct transfer). Some more have to pay RM2.50 per mth if no transaction using the new card for each mth. Means the new card is even worse compare of using other credit cards as other credit cards no need to pay the RM2.50 per mth. This post has been edited by topearn: Dec 20 2014, 05:17 PM |

QUOTE(kuai_chai @ Dec 22 2014, 12:03 PM) ya.. still old card.. my new card is not activated yet.. They have emailed U the temporary password to login to your new debit card. Old card - no processing fee; new card - RM16 per pessenger, so if U buy tickets for a group of say 9 people, u will be charged 9 x 16=RM144, much much cheaper if U direct transfer from your bank ac to pay, just RM4 processing fee.i have problem login in to activate it though.. the login is not the same as the 1 we used previously? |

QUOTE(drfeelgood @ Feb 11 2015, 09:45 AM) I know you are totally against this card, so even if i said i enjoy big points by booking my airasia flights etc... Pl share with us what are the benefits of using the new Big card. I too have the new big card and I have yet to use it to buy AA tickets cos at RM16 processing fee per passenger, it's daylight robbery as using direct debit cost just RM4. I know we earn BIG points from buying tickets but the value of the points earn is just a few RM, so U still lose money if U buy using the big card due to the high processing fee.You have something negative to counter.... |

QUOTE(drfeelgood @ Feb 12 2015, 07:41 AM) But if you look at the points... changing it at AA to buy tickets sometimes, they email discounted promos for AA big card holders. For example the last promo i received was 5000 points only for a ticket to Japan. AA points are worth about 1 cent per point. I have actually exchanged some of my points to Petronas points - 10,000 AA points gets me RM100 worth of petrol. I have been hoping to use AA points for like over a year to buy cheap plane tickets and I notice they valued it about 1 cent per point. I think for your last promo, AA is on sale and if U use cash to pay the ticket to Japan is about RM50; I have actually compared many times during AA promotions and using AA points to pay is just not that worth it cos they valued the AA points at just 1 cent per point.Cheap by any standards. Rm16 fees may be exhorbitant. But that is rm8 one way. Compare it with Sgd8 one way convenience fee charged by Sg budget airlines when you buy online.? Comparing the RM16 fee to convenience fee of Sg budget airlines is not comparing apples to apples; U should compare the fee using the Big card vs if U pay from your online bank ac. If U travel as a family of 5 (U, wife and 3 kids) using Big card to pay will set u back RM16 x 5= RM80 vs just RM4 if U pay online from your bank account. Another way of looking at the RM16 fee is if U managed to buy return tickets on zero fare promotion to say Langkawi it will be just RM18 for airport charges and fees (RM9 x 2). A family of 5 will pay just 18 x 5 + 4 (online bank account payment) = RM94 while using your Big card will pay (18+16) x 5 = RM170 which is over 80% higher (170 / 94). |

QUOTE(tigaxxx @ Feb 12 2015, 09:01 PM) The above is for one way... Paying RM60 to "earn" 3200 Big points (which is worth about RM32) is like throwing good money away.for 2 ways , you'll pay rm64 fee for using big card compare to rm4 by using direct debit (4 pax) i.e pay extra rm60 for 3200 big pts... = 400 big pts for rm7.5 |

QUOTE(drfeelgood @ Feb 12 2015, 07:52 AM) Talking about earning points... U're enjoying the benefits - earning Big points when U use your Big card....this is nothing great...Any credit card also earn U points when U use them.I just received this email. So i am sorry to hear of those who are unhappy with AA Big card... i truly am. As i am enjoying the benefits... |

QUOTE(kwokwah @ Apr 8 2015, 07:56 AM) Also has a RM2.50/pm if no activity. Applies for air asia ezcard as well. Seems like their virtual ezcard has duplicate features of the passport ezcard except the multi currency options. Very confusing, should explain to potential customers why need to get 2 cards instead of one and what about the previous BigCard? Just pump rm2 petrol once a mth so no need to pay RM2.50. |

QUOTE(sms2u @ Apr 10 2015, 09:48 AM) Have u applied the ezpay card? RM10 waived if U top-up like RM50. The exchange rate is sucks... U get much better rates if U use money changers. I only get the card so can enjoy 0 processing fee; cheaper that direct pay from my online bank ac which cost RM4, and way cheaper vs using credits cards which cost RM16 per passenger.Few questions related to ezpay card. 1. Is it a must to pay RM10 to start? 2. This card can support 7 currecies, is that means we can have more than 1 balance in different currecy? 3. How and when the money deposit will convert to other currency? 4. What is the exhnange rate used? 5. Can we convert back to RM or other currency at any time and what is the fee to do that? Hope u can share it |

QUOTE(jkngo2003 @ Apr 9 2015, 04:56 PM) nw the best way to earn big point is open cimb saver account. with cimb saver account u can earn 250 big point with rm 1500 deposit in quarter of year. rm1500 in airasia saver can earn 2.4percent interest per year. Free reloads also for other banks like M2U. 250 big points is like RM2.50, no big deal cos if U put RM1500 in some banks U can get like 1% higher; 1% of RM1500 is RM15.with cimb airasia saver, u can reload ezpay for free. |

QUOTE(facktura @ Apr 30 2015, 03:45 PM) but sometimes my BIG mastercard got declined as well. cant pay unifi bill via TM website online, declined also at digi kiosk machine. anyone experience it also? Useless card. Pump petrol will charge U RM200 and only few days later they reversed it out. They never bothered to rectify this bug cos I tried again 1 mth later, then another mth later, this bug still not rectified. Emailed them to cancel my card and they said wait 30 working days so I stopped using the card but later found out was charged RM2.50 cos card not active for 1 mth. |

QUOTE(facktura @ Apr 30 2015, 05:55 PM) dont la swipe your card at the pump machine of coz whicever amount u pump it will float rm200 first liek any other cc what. go inside inside counter and swipe accordingly the amount u want. Any other CC will not do such silly thing... I've swiped using UOB, RHB and other CC - no problem. I've also seen countless people swipe thier CC at the pump. |

I finally get fedup of waiting for my refund and shoot them an email cc to bnmtelelink@bnm.gov.my. Here's what I wrote -
It's been nearly 5 mths (about 90 working days) since your last email to me regarding refund and which you mention will take up to 30 working days. Reminders to you were being ignored. Please look in to this matter urgently. |
