If I get this correctly, topping up Bigpay card with cc will get cashback from cc, and using Bigpay for any purchase will collect Bigpoints. So is like double reward? Is this too good to be true? or the "gou shou" here all already earning double reward like nobody's business?

Thanks for the info
Just saw this also - "Domestic ATM withdrawals - RM6"
So it means that in extreme cases of needing cash, one could top up BigPay card with cc (considered as purchase) and withdraw cash using BigPay card, avoiding cash advance charges and interest?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jun 3 2018, 10:10 AM) yes, but do it sparingly to avoid be flagged by bigpay of "suspicious activities" This is wow. So I presume all "gou shou" here basically top up BigPay monthly using cc and just use BigPay to spend?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jun 3 2018, 11:12 AM) generally, i guess so. i am one of them. cc with cashback are mostly limited to certain spending categories. reloading to bigpay, you can spend almost everywhere else, without restrictions from the main cashback cc. e.g. pbb quantum/vs (earn 5%/6% Online cb) --> bigpay --> other spendings (e.g. dental, car service, maintenance fee, etc) This is so cool

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jun 7 2018, 09:39 PM) since bigpay is a prepaid card, does Balance Transfer work? assuming i've been swiping large payment with bigpay (of course already preloaded earlier), then trigger BT to PBB 0% 6mth? pbb bt doesnt need statement anyway. essentially pbb transfer fund into bigpay, but split to 6 installments at pbb card. what is the point of doing this? might as well BT to the cc that use to reload BigPay isn't it?

QUOTE(TaiSong @ Jun 9 2018, 03:54 AM) My card has been suspended. Reason given is my activities are suspicious (I withdraw the unused amount that I top up in order to maximize cc cash back and BT purposes). Total withdraw amount so far is less than 60k in 2 months time. Explained the same to their RISK MANAGEMENT officer. No use. The officer said my activities trigger the alert, and she did not mention what is the withdrawal threshold. And she said I have to proof that I am not doing money laundering. So guys, good luck and make sure you don't churn so much and kena like me . Money laundering my ashes. sorry to hear this but wow, withdraw 60k in 2 months no warning given beforehand?

QUOTE(Hanz91 @ Jun 11 2018, 03:49 PM) If I reload RM2500 into BigPay using MBB Barcelona card to get the 2% CB every month and withdraw out the RM2500 every month, do you guys think there will be any problems? Ideally If this combines with SCB JustOne top up 2500 (categorised as online), then get RM 85 cash back from cc, then withdraw from ATM to transfer as payment to cc charged RM6, net earn RM 79 in a few minutes Is this too good to be true?? What's stopping me from doing this?

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Jun 11 2018, 10:25 PM) read back past few pages. you may be flagged for irregular suspicious activities, and as far as we know, even if you provide evidence, their decision is kinda final. and perhaps TS can put this on the 1st page, regarding this issue. yeah, that is 60K in 2 months. If I do Maybank Barcelona + SCB Just one would be 5K hope it wouldn't get trigger?

So if BigPay is rolling out cards with Paywave features then all existing card holders will receive new card?
Just can't believe the card has no wave in 2018

QUOTE(keeystar @ Jun 14 2018, 11:45 PM) Lolz wonder why most people like wave function? I seriously think that pin and pay is safer, only take u extra 1-2mins. If i wanna use wave for convenient, i rather use apple pay or mobile pay at least require my thumbprint. for small amount paywave is very convenient, and is "elegant" to use

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jun 15 2018, 11:37 AM) Am in Scotland, the car rental wouldn't accept prepaid cards (including this BigPay card) for their security deposit (reversible). I think should be SOP that CC required in this instance, so I used another card. Next few days will be able to report what sort of exchange rates I'm getting. yeah car rental always requires credit card, not debit or prepaid card for deposit. I think they charge quite a large amount for the deposit, and reverse the transaction after returning the car

QUOTE(snowswc @ Jun 16 2018, 05:10 PM) withdraw cash and put in your housing loan and settle later on the CC due date? save interest + cash back+ big points? but then on a later date you will need to withdraw from housing loan to pay the cc right? Withdrawal from housing loan carries a charge Not sure how much can be saved after all these?

Just thought of a "new" usage of the card - top up using cc to waive annual fee for those cards requires 12x swipes/year This works perfectly for AEON as I keep the card just for BT and nothing else

Interesting experience when using BigPay is some merchant used the words "cute card", "interesting look card" to describe it Prolly due to the light colour design as most cards are dark in colour
