some people do not like to owe. so they use prepaid credit cards to better control their expenditure. with a maximum load limit of rm 10,000 at any time, it helps you to set a budget for your spending. i think this is a very practical product.
*
That is illogical...
If u can control your spending then that is not a problem.

If based on that point, there's no difference between using cash and prepaid card, just that prepaid card can use for internet usage.

since the service charges not cheap, rm 2 every top up. credit card, you also complain of over spend, why not use debit card instead ?
*
Lolz...so RM2/reload is cheap compared to free for life credit card (min 2 swipe/month) ?
How much money are u going to reload into the card each time? RM100 or RM500?

Make some calculation would u?

QUOTE(bafukie @ Dec 12 2007, 09:19 PM)
i would have choose debit card over credit card anytime. Many people especially first timer got their credit card thought that it is a one way ticket to heaven padahal its the other way round. Remember wat warren buffet said?

AVOID CREDIT CARD. And this is coming from the 2nd richest man (not updated tongue.gif) in the world. think about it man
*
So u mean 2nd richest man on earth claims he cant control his spending?

Lolz.....

I see there's nothing wrong with credit cards..except unless he really cant control his spending.
My credit card has done me good and nothing bad.
Well, except i have to use it atleast twice/month or RM200 (which my insurance alone already covers that amount)

Wacky, honestly, i did not understand what you are trying on above statement. rm 2 per top up, to me, is not cheap.  minimun 2 swipes a year, is not a problem to me as i ue credit card to pay for gasoline.

Personally, this tunecard is especially design for consumers which is not eligible for a credit card. well, i believe majority users of this service are not rich, which top up more than 1000 everytime is not an easy task. so, they might top up few hundreds ringgit everytime (assumption), without considering the rm 2 service charge.

That is why i said, since we wory too much, expensive service charge and beyond control spending habit, why not opts for Debit card instead, which i believe many banks do that ( public bank, hong leong bank, as far as i know ).

I know simple maths, but not an expert physician.

Thanks

can somebody help me clarify this
i just now made the online application for tunecard. at the step 5, i use fpx as my option of payment. My problem is, my stupid firefox browser block the popup from cimbclicks. And i cant find "return to fpx" button. so i just close the window as it. Now i dont know, what if the status, because i didnt see the last step, And when i login to tunemoney and click on tune card, i need to reenter the form, which meant i need to repay..

how? can somebody lead me?
*
If firefox is blocking, it means it doesnt went thru...

U can retry again or just opt to pay at post office when u collect card.

Else if u still worry, u are welcome to call tunemoney customer service

stop comparing credit card to a prepaid card. likewise you can't compare a postpaid plan and a prepaid plan. if you want to do a comparison, do it within the context then maybe there's some point to it. a kid under the age of 18 can't get a credit card, get it? nail that in your head if you don't get it.

*
So what do u compare a debit/prepaid card with a credit card?

Where did you redeem your Aeon vouchers and what's the TP conversion rate?
*
Gardens Maybank Card Centre.
40K/RM100 cheaper by 6K points compared to doing it online 46K/RM100, they said online redemption inclusive of delivery fees thats why more expensive.
