Children can soon go cashless with debit card

KUALA LUMPUR: A few weeks from now, children as young as 12 will be able to swipe a debit card and leave their cash at home.

Tune Money Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Tengku Zafrul Aziz said applications for the prepaid Visa Tune Card would be made available for children aged 12 to 18 years.

The Tune Card is a debit card that gives instant online approval with no credit check and allows for cash withdrawals at ATMs worldwide. The annual fee is RM9.99.

Currently, credit cards are allowed only for those aged 18 and above.

Tengku Zafrul said: "Children can buy things for themselves and it will be easier for parents to transfer money to their children. They won't have to give them so much cash.

"This way, parents will be able to easily monitor and control their children's spending, as every transaction will be recorded."

"We believe there is a niche market, especially for parents who have teenage children studying overseas," he said.

The complete details on the Tune Card for teenagers will be announced on Feb 1.

Not needed but if you want to use in China, your identity needs to be verified and it's for China residents only.

This one is for WeChat Malaysia wallet. I will explore later at night, I already have existing China wallet.

The thread said need v6.6.7 but mine is v6.6.6

So cannot add. laugh.gif

But I can add BigPay in China Wallet which basically serves no purpose. laugh.gif

I can't add BigPay to China Wallet, but OK with Malaysia Wallet.
*
That's normal.
You're not able to add a non-China bank account to China Wallet.

You may need to contact bank CS to get the approval code to send to BP CS.

since bigpay is a prepaid card, does Balance Transfer work?

assuming i've been swiping large payment with bigpay (of course already preloaded earlier), then trigger BT to PBB 0% 6mth?

pbb bt doesnt need statement anyway. essentially pbb transfer fund into bigpay, but split to 6 installments at pbb card.
*
What's the point of doing so?
As you already got enough cash to pre-loaded the large ticket amount to Bigpay in order to allow to swipe for the large ticket item/purchase.
It sounded so foolish.

Cash -> BigPay -> BT to PBB -> Pay PBB in 0% 6 months

The purpose of abusing BT loophole is to squeeze cash out of it.

Make a police report if I were you, you have co-operate and provided details of the transaction proving this isn't money laundering and still yet proceed in suspension.  I just feel they are not sincere in providing such facilities.
*
I support this but bear in mind, once this gets into public, banks will review all loopholes in BT that you guys have been exploiting here and in the BT thread.
Moving on, BT application will be back to strict terms whereby cardholder needs to provide latest CC statement showing at the figure that you wished to transfer from in the statement balance.

Money laundering and eligible swipes are two different scopes.

You can swipe your CC till your CL is maxed out as long as they're involving into illegal activities.

Flagging due to money laundering is suspicious flow of money trails involving financial institution and legitimate business.

If not due to money laundering act, why so many hard cash is found at Najib residences and UMNO claimed they're legitimate fund for GE14.

I just founded out today that the physical card doesn't even equipped with Wave capability.
Thought of getting it for my parents. LOL

Mobile app doesn't support NFC.
Sounds a little primitive.

Saw the below in BigPay forum.
Wave will be in but NPC feature not mentioned.

They should have launched with Wave capability.
Later, they have offer free replacement like what MBB is doing with their Mastercard product line.

Implementing Samsung Pay is good but it won't that straight forward and easy.
Otherwise, more and more banks can be supported by Samsung Pay.

I don't see anything wrong with her actions except for the taking photos section.
She's exercising due diligence to ensure for no fraud case even though the swipe was successful.
Remember that a cashier has to validate details on the CC details on the printout against the physical card.
She should have asked her supervisor to verify your card and/or cardholder identity.

I believe multiple same transaction with different OTP doesn't fall under Split Qualified Retail Transactions as previous CB4U campaigns also got this term as well.
I believe it's only apply to those merchant whereby your bill is RM1000 and you request them to split into 10 X RM100 swipe without OTP, should only apply to physical swipe.
*
Even that, it has different approval code for each transaction right?
Isn't that a differentiator?
