There were born and raise indoor in Beijing for 3 years before coming to Malaysia; nurtured like human babies.
I am keeping them temporary till Sept 2011 before they migrate to Australia with their owner.
When they were taken for walk at Desa Parkcity park, I could'nt believe the attention given and some even offer to buy!!!!
Never been so close before with such adorable and smart doggy.

Really? I thought Bichon Frise is a stubborn breed, not smart at all?  tongue.gif

As quoted in Wikipedia, Bichon Frises can have a medium-high intelligence.
Stubbornest depends on the owner or training provided.
If you hit them, they bound to ignore u for a while.
We feed, comb, eye-drop, cuddle and provide attention to them and I think the dog is smart.
Maybe is the human that matters???

vincentboleh :hey how old r they ...mine 9mth and got lots of tears stain..been wiping it all day ..and yet still lots of stain any tips...

They are 3 years old and just celebrated their birthday a month ago.

We use tear stain remover "Procare Augen-pflege" by www.trixie.com; info at
http://www.trixie.de/en/mk/Search,23?showD...search=eye+care.
This liquid is used with cotton wool and slowly wipe near the eye-lid. Their owner got this eye-care in Beijing but I am not sure if it is available here???

You may try to trim it's hair around the eyes shorter to minimize dirt accumulation. The pet shop who shower my dogs also mentioned that this is not easy to clean and recommend trimming. FYI, since we have two dogs, the female like to lick the male's eye's and indirectly cleaning his eyes; however, her own eyes usually are dirtier.
Apart from using tear stain remover, I do apply soft tissue with water to regularly clean their stain.

Our Boo (the Guy) do have skin problem previously but Bee (the Gal) never have this problem. We solved Boo's problem by trimming his fur and feeding him with fish / salmon based pellets. On off we feed them with chicken breast meat (plain). Licking and chewing his paws is usually resulted from localised fungus and you must trim all fur / hair between his legs & paws (layman term means between all fingers and toes ). Regular application of fungus spray i.e. few times a day (prescribed by BeeBoo's regular Vet, Dr. Lai) is a must to prevent such licking and chewing as the spray is quite bitter and they hate it and never dare to lick at sprayed legs / paws!!! We keep BeeBoo dry all the time especially at night i.e. fan facing them all the time and in aircond room when we are with them at home (few hours lah). Pills are only temporary solution.

CAUTION: Malaysian hot weather is never suitable for Bichon. Never take your Bichon for afternoon walk because heat stroke can kill them in minutes. Only walk them at very short distance in cool morning / evening and if they are tired, stop walking them immediately and take them to a cool place, etc.

Well, we handle 2 Bichons and the joy they brought is beyond description. You are facing challenges which will one day make you love him more dearly, etc.

BeeBoo's routines: doh.gif
(1) Clean their fur every morning using wet cotton cloth + after they have pee / poo and fan dry them.
(2) Feed them twice a day.
(3) Comb them every 2 days (using Natural Pet dry shampoo i.e. in powder form) + eyes drop + ear drop and wiping;
(4) Shower only once every 10 days or two weeks at per center (too often shower is not be good for such dog).
(5) Every 2 months apply heartworm / flea / ticks drop on the neck.
(6) Vaccination injection every year.

We have brought BeeBoo to couple of Vets before but none can match Dr. Lai. Call him up if you are in PJ and only look for Dr. Lai:

Dr. Lai Chong (Tel: 03-7804 6539) - Opens Saturday.
Hand "N" Paws Veterinary Clinic & Pet Centre
C-17G, Jalan PJU 1/45,
Aman Suria Damansara,
47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Hope this may help.
