Is it very hard to find a bichon Frise ?
How much will it cost to own 1 and will it be very hard to take care?

In addition i w0ould like to know he price and what to know before getting a welsh corgi too thanks

Bichon Frise is a type of dog, not some unique animal.

My friend (who is very Paris Hilton like ) loves this type of dog sooo much and has been looking high and low for it...

Dunno if she has succeeded tho...

malaysia have but i think its really expensive cause very few in numbers....and their coat need extra care

so far i saw pet shjop sell bichon frise before.
but if is breeder , i rarely seen one .
is hard to find a breeder of bichon frise.

saw once in petswonderland..can try call mka.but price range my guess rm3-5k

My colleague has Bichon Frise but not sure if its purebreed or mix with Poodle but she spayed her Curly already..if u go to White Palace product on the tear stain..there is Curlie picture there..her Bichon was given by her friend one..

ohh i saw one in my local pet shop, but that one belong to the shop owner not for sale. if wan i can help u ask them where to get one.

Well, didnt seen any bichon frise at show ring yet, but breeders, yah.

Thing is, if we are looking for a purebreed, of corse we donwan to get one just because the cert stated so, view the parents to see whether they really represent one.

You are purchasing a dog, not the cert.

Ouch ..seems like bichon is really a very rare breed in Malaysia.Too rare for me to afford 1 ..

U can always look for other type of breeds for your Shih Tzu's companion..doesnt have to be Bichon right ?

u can try Yang's maltese, yorkshire, mayb even another shih tzu??
i myself am hoping to get another female shih tzu to accompany my baby boy when i hv the money ready XD

I'm glad and surprised to see a thread started on bichon frise here. I do own a bichon myself. They are such a lovely breed and a joy to have. In M'sia they are considered a rare breed, much like pembroke welsh corgy. I heard some pet shops do import bichon puppies from oversea. There aren't many bichon breeders locally, normally they are home breeders. Do pm me if u wanna know more about the breed.

I was looking for a bichon because i wanted a companion for my shi tzu but i don't think i have the time to take care so i'm buying it and letting my girlfriend taking care of it.But she only interested in welsh corgi or bichon, so I'm trying to find one if possible.But looking at the prices i think that's way over my budget.

Added on December 15, 2007, 11:15 amhi digitral. i bought my bichon at RM 2500 from a breeder. she is MKA certified and microchipped.



dun get me wrong, i'm not a breeder, just someone that own a bichon and crazy about them thats all.
bichon is considered a high maintainance breed, its coat requires lots of care and daily brushing, much like poodle due to their double coat and curly texture. if u could not commit to spend those time, its wise to consider other breed. other than that, bichon's personality is a real charmer. they can get along basically with everyone and every pets. they are not known to be a barker either. they are easy to teach tricks as well. when they start their 'bichon blitz', it is so fun to look at.

anyway i would like to know whether there's any bichon owner around. do drop me a line.

The Bichon Frise I saw in Melbourne...Able to talk to the breeder and ask her about exporting to Malaysia...Hehe...So cute!
