Any ideas/suggestions? There's not much we can do, I know.
Everytime we start a topic, it either gets flamed or make fun off which eventually gets locked. Sigh.
Any safe topics these days?

QUOTE(myremi @ Dec 12 2007, 12:36 PM) Any ideas/suggestions? There's not much we can do, I know. maybe start a thread with guides/strategies/tactics used for 5-man/heroic/25 man raid.Everytime we start a topic, it either gets flamed or make fun off which eventually gets locked. Sigh. Any safe topics these days? That would be helpful. Would like a malaysian version more than depending on US or other counrty version in other forum. And for those that BG/arena a lot, can also tell us of their tactics used when face certain char. instead of epeening your achievement. but this i think easily get flamed looking at past thread. |

asides from the fact that we are malaysians, theres really nothing else we have in common in game so its hard to have any meaningful related stuff to post
if your in the same guild, you have gchat/forums and basically everyone goes to their own realm forums for drama/info etc there is no safe thread lol, drama is entertaining |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Dec 12 2007, 02:15 PM) Actually I find that statement semi-true at best. You'll realize that that the current generation of female party-goers are getting more and more sexually liberated as opposed to say maybe 10 years ago. Of course we're no where near how open the American women can be but the ladies in Malaysia is definitely heading in the right direction I can't say the same for the male counter-parts, perhaps a female party-goer can enlighten us with her observations? |

An ex-female party-goer view : Actually, 10 years ago, ladies were already sexually active. Just not so open about it but that's only because communication today is better "network" with mobile phones and internet.
I can say more but it risks getting this thread lock. This post has been edited by myremi: Dec 12 2007, 04:41 PM |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Dec 12 2007, 02:17 PM) seconded this. The questions of who, what, where and when isn't really much of an issue here. I believe major epeening threads which merely stroke ones ego will always be target for flamers and the likes. This is akin to the argument of post counts ages ago which goes something like "Oh look you have 1 post and I have 3004002 posts. This means my package is longer, thicker and squirts farther than yours". If everyone starts a forum thread with the word "Constructive" in their mind I think we will be more happy people.Added on December 12, 2007, 2:34 pm ill take that as a compliment and give my thanks. but started by whom isnt really the matter, if anything i played a major role in the flame fest too despite that, do you think the thread would lived through page 8 without random spams here and there and massive derailments if it werent for the flamefest? i personally dont. but who knows? What I'm trying to say is, women these days are more aware of their sexuality and getting less inhibited with it. This in turn leads to the notion that Love=Sex being totally dropped.I can say more but it risks getting this thread lock. Don't get me wrong here, I totally agree that women have been sexually active 10 years ago and more definitely. What I'm merely stating is that the current mindset of women when it comes to sex is different from what you would find in a women 10 years ago. QUOTE This is akin to the argument of post counts ages ago which goes something like "Oh look you have 1 post and I have 3004002 posts. But you get the idea that YES, it CAN actually give a benchmark on one's credibility, so indirectly yes, said poster with 3004002 post would prolly have a package thats longer, thicker, and squirts further. |

One thing Malaysians lack is the disabilty to see past sarcasm and new ideas. Things are taken too seriously and personally. Most of us are brought up where 'image' (or the Cantonese call 'Mien'/Face) is extremely important. Thus, when one's believe/perception is questioned, his defensive mechanism just activates without any grasp of the situation which will eventually lead to a heated argument instead of an open discussion where there are gives and takes.
It is due to this that regardless of what another says, one will always stick to his guns and ridicule other people's ideas without even using a single grey cell. Admitting an error is seen as a sin. |

Well, the downside of kinda putting up more "knowledgeable" posts is that we're indirectly intimidating people.
