About Eric's kungfu kick, well... everyone has their mistakes and dark side. Eric admitted that and after the suspension and community services (part of his punishment) he no longer does any violent act and was the peacemaker between Andy Cole and the West Ham Captain, Julian Dicks during the 1-0 win at Upton Park (thanks to a very tight goal by Eric using his left foot from a very tight angle)

What most eric fans admired was how he dusted himself up and rebuild himself. He was a changed man, no longer the bad tempered player and vented his frustration due to his suspension by scoring goals in United's 1-0 victories during the double double season. That got the imagination of many fans including myself when he made us dream and realise that if you were down, you can rise up again. Unsurprisingly he was PWA Player of the Year that season.
