See the font in red...

us=US
jp=Japan
sa=Asian
uk=Europe/UK
bn=Bunian...bestest version

So...you are correct...3rd is asian version...but as mentioned earlier all link/server host the exact same file...so just download from any server you like...or any server that's faster for you...

p/s: I like the bn server personally...bestest Oppai

Pls check the md5sum first if you download from other sources as it may 'brick' your ps3....

Even though the ps3 verify the file first it's better to check the md5sum first or just download from official server.

p/s: the psp last time have similar problem where people give a dunmmy update file which have caused ta psp to brick.

anybody here using Jaring to go online with PS3?

hows the setup and quality? I am tired with Streamyx already.
*
IIRC, our resident MOD Ninja uses Jaring...and he can play games online with no hiccup...though youmay want to check with him personally...

A few pics of the new PSN from here
*
Looking at the screen shot...I think the new PSN store is somewhat 'built-in' rather that web based like current store. Hence the need for firmware update.

Hope this will make browsing the store 'speedier'...

Yes, the new PlayStation Store IS NO LONGER using the web browser. It's built in to the XMB through Firmware 2.30 update. Coming soon mid-April. thumbup.gif The new front-end will cache all images properly and is much faster than the old one.

Great news then.... rclxm9.gif

p/s: What with the avatar Ninja...so ghey laaa...

My final exams timetable has been released.. 15 May - 02 June..
I'll have only 10 days to finish GTAIV before MGS4 come out  cry.gif  cry.gif

IT's a sin...MGS and GTA4 is much much more important than a measly exam...you can always repeat the subject...or even repeat the year... wink.gif

OT aside, anyone here knows whether I can use PSP-PS3 remote play via LAN?
My PS3 is in the TV room, but the wireless router is in my bedroom. PS3 is connected via ethernet cable. Any ideas? icon_question.gif
*
I think the Remote play via LAN/router is for 20Gigers only laa...if you have 60/40/80 gigers...then it will try to connect directly to your ps3...but I could be wrong...

Bah...you read it at one go and you know that all update file is te same...What kind of journalism being practice at Gamespot here...see their quote..

QUOTE
Other users appear to have received error 80010514 after mistakenly installing firmware meant for another region--for example, putting a North American update on a European console.

It's great that they are investigation this but pls know about the issue first rather than just take it at face value...and who is this 'other user'....bah!

I still remember when their podcast really make fun and also ridicule Fox News when the news channel said Mass Effect games feature 'Graphic Sex' and 'Lesbian Influence'...the accuse that the news channel do not know their 'shit' and label then news channel and bad journalism....guess they are in need of better ratings too...not just Fox News...hence the new strategy...

they never heard of mdsum ke? all the update files released since the ps3 first launched are the same laaa...

But..on the other hand...sony really need to look into this...though I think it's nothing serius

p/s: Finally got myself a Dualshock 3...yay rclxm9.gif but need to charge it first... cry.gif

QUOTE(snipersnake @ Apr 15 2008, 08:21 AM)
hell yeah mr RX!

i read in NST today, starting from April 28, Singapore is going to enforce game rating, ala ESRB. they have only two types now.

I actually have 2 concerns:

1. What will happen to import games? Now we can find a lot of them, and they are a bit expensive. Lets just say Singapore bans GTA..so will the import version comes as a grey import or ala porno DVD (looks at rx)/?

2. Since the price to rate the game is not mistaken $50 a game, will the current price of the game change as well?

If both yes ah, then hard la for me here.  doh.gif
*
IINM almost 80 of the games that we bought from kedai like bernard, they bought from HK laaa...and all are grey import, not thru sony directly. they are bought from sony via a dummy company registered in HK.

So why teh worry?

sorry to ask newbie question

singpore set dload SA rite?
*
Ye adik...Singapura berada di dalam benua Asia...

Jokes aside, yes SG = Asia = SA...but then again all file is the same...no matter which server...so you can even close your eyes and just click from any of the above 4 link...

Fifth Link (Bunian) is for Master Level (Level 75 and above) only...so newbie can't download...

p/s: installing....

p/s: Waaa...new store is very smooth and nice although it took quite a few seconds for the pic to load in every square...
