okay... maybe need a little more in-depth explanation on this. intranet sharing are basically computers installed with server application (eg: Apache, HFS, NA) so that anyone within UNITEN (putrajaya only, muadzam would not be able to access putrajaya's network) can access those computers with just typing the computer name.

I'll take one server for instance. (te hell with undergrorund :sweat) http://che-ap/ . His computer is set up with set up with an Apache and yes the computer name is che-ap. Just by typing che-ap, you can already access his intranet sharing.

but remember a few things I said earlier. these servers are done by students who are kind enough to share their stuff with other students. Thus follow their rules if there is one. (no download accelerator, 1 connection only, etc). Then the speed you can download from these people depends on where they are. Cendekiawan have slower speeds as their network is only 10Mbit. Amanah is faster as they are 100Mbit. So if the webserver is hosted at Cendi, and you're getting slow speeds, just be patient. Getting those stuff from the internet is hard enough, handling complaints from impatient people is another headache.

You can obtain more intranet webservers links from visiting the webservers. Some have external links linking other webservers.

I still can't login into serrano/info or watever/info!?!?!?!!?!? WTH is this? It pops out a box for me to type password but after clicking ok for 3 times after entering password and username, it says i have no authorisation to view the page??? WTF. Can somebody helps me??

Added on July 8, 2008, 8:40 pminternet's easy, jz plug in the LAN cable then put the proxy server as apartment01 or apartment02 and port as 80.

you sure you typed in the your usename (your ID that is) and your password correctly?

I've been accessing that since my foundation days. now I'm on my last year, still can access it just fine.

yeah, i jz used the same id and password to login to wifi this afternoon somemore....... no way i type them wrongly, i tried both with capslock on and without............

to login to wifi there's special procedures you will need to follow. instructions are available at the uniten website i think. for internet at hostels, just follow as said by ysh_kobe, enter enter the proxy server and port only.

any hardware extremist here in uniten?

at the section where u put 'apartment02' and port '80' there is a tick box for the 'bypass proxy server for the local addresses'. i marked that one.

what error msg? when accessing intranet sharing make sure you're not accessing through the proxy server. internet option have an easy checkbox to bypass proxy for local addressed. for Firefox, you have to enter them manually into the 'No Proxy for:' box. Enter each server one by one separated by a comma.

has anyone from amanah or cendikiawan try connect wireless from COIT building? izzit possible?

when i was staying in cendekiawan 1 1 /2 years back, i tried connecting. but it is a secured line.
so, u cant connect unless u know the password or either u r superhebat in cracking the password.

who know where can i reformat PC near UNITEN or in UNITEN? i know how to reformat myself but i didnt bring all CDs installer.

lot of ppl here can do for you...you may need to pay a small fee tho..

owh thats cool. can you give their number? i want to reformat as fast as possible. hopefully the fee not too high lar.. lol..
