i dun think is a good choice to take 4 paper together...
especially the audit paper + fm.
actually notes or text book usually is not enuf since all of us know ACCA exam always asking about current issue. Further more  the tax act and FRS are change all the time...
so i suggest u dun rush to take all the paper, dun take the paper at 1 time.if possible, choose those paper that will not  examine in consecutive day so u hv more time to study~
*
ello course mate, im soo agree wit u. =p
last sitting, really kills me..
and i really regret taking 4 papers at 1 goal..

anyway, think twice, 4 papers for 1 sitting, aint dat easy..

Oh no wonder, i think this forum is a total crap then! Its a forum to promote CKF only WHAT! n thanks for telling me,
coz i wont waste my time reading her previous post. WHO IS VERY FREE NOW, claiming as working in audit firm and being 'helpful'! Well i guess i dont have to say anythg more here.  I guess, this forum is much more worse than any Big 4. Good Luck to you narrow minded guys.  whistling.gif

I think Colly, you may be Kwai Fatt ! haha or his mistress. Well, thanks for being so 'touched'. You are just like his DOG. and by the way, my fav lecturers are Bob, Michael,Sheila,Andrew Phang and Menon, what say you now! If you dont wanna improve your language, then anytime you are bound to be looked down by high executives wherever you go. Thats the
reality of life if you find it hard to accept and im still trying to improve on my language, be it chinese or english! Birds of same feather always together, i guess i know from all these which category of birds you belong and wish to
belong to! A person who refuse to admit his/her mistakes will NEVER learn.

was away from this thread for some time after our external exam..
decided to come back and have a look today..
browse through all posts.. and saw something that LIGHTS my eye up..

woohoo? I saw some noob calling colly a DOG when she herself is one?
If u think, working in BIG 4 + ACCA + good english issss so proud.. so be it!
never knew BIG 4 has ppl like you.. arrogant, annoying, ignorant and irritating!!

FYI, LYN is a much betta forum compared to what forum u hav mentioned..
anyway.. a forum without ur existence would be a good one rclxms.gif

If u're still looking at this forum.. its time for u to get bak to work and work hard for ur PROMOTION since u got sucha GOOD qualification and HIGH level of communication skill.

but i think.. with sucha attitude of urs.. promotion seeeems far? hahahahaha..
Oooohh.. wait! you might.. good luck in *booot-licking* .. ..

*May the force NOT be with you*

yaya~~i though so~~
coz in tarc, person who has fail muz fail P3...
other than that, 99% from my class pass p1..
but looking at the passing rate, is quiet unbelievable~~

by the way, coursemate, seems like u fail ur p3 too...
dun be sad...gambateh in following sitting...

but looking at those optional paper passing rate, i oso scare scare le~~
*
same for my class.. majority who fail.. is P2 and P3 ..
whereas.. everyone passed P1 .. ..

QUOTE(HBK-reloaded @ Feb 21 2008, 11:57 PM)
so, prepare urself..this June 08 sitting the rate will drop, and exam would be challenging... hmm.gif  icon_question.gif  My biggest fear is P2..as other paper also the examiner has given the introduction rate (high) and tis coming sitting..wow,gonna be tougher than previous sitting... shakehead.gif
*
yeap.. P2 is also my biggest fear..

anyway.. i got some questions here..

for my case, i hav not completed F9, P2, P3, P4 and P5 .. my very last 5 papers..

and.. lets say for the coming June sitting..

im plannin to take F9 and P5 .. only 2 papers.. is that possible?? Or must i follow the sequence?

after F9, its P2 .. ..

iianm ACCA wants u to go module by module now. i.e. u'll have to take f9 + some core papers

And looking at the passing rates,I think P1 was a surprise package.Alot of ppl either didn't clear it if they thought they would or they got lower marks than they thought they would.

My word of advice? P1 is still a P paper, don't forget that. It may seem relatively easy on the surface compared to the other P papers, but don't let that fool u. Don't neglect this paper when revising smile.gif
*
my case is a bit complicated..

uhm.. im a Tarc student.. Part 2 and 3 of ACCA, its internally assess and also externally assess for Part 3..

this will be my final sem and im taking the optional papers, P4 and P5.

Im having my final exams in May for P4 and P5 (internally assess), so i was thinking.. since i have not pass F9, means its impossible for me to take up P4 for external exam.

So i was thinking whether is it possible for me to take up F9 and P5 for the coming June sitting. I do not want to waste the knowledge which i've studied a month ago for my final since i still have them in mind..

IF thats the case, as what u hav said.. meaning.. my next sitting, i have to take up F9 and P2.

What if, i wanna take up F9 and P3 instead of P2? Is that possible?

yaya...i understood wat ur trying 2 convey...
fundamental level is being assessed internally...
but professional level is both internally and externally....

there is a rule from ACCA, stating :
1)fundamental level --> pro ( core ) --> pro ( optional )....unless ur being offered 2 do d optional pprs b4 d transition period, you must complete ur core pprs 1st...

thus, its not allowed 2 tk f9 n p5 2geta (assuming tat ur not in d exception category )....

2) u can take any papers in d same module regardless of its sequence....

thus, u can take p3, den p2 den p1....any orders wil do but they must b in d same module....

anyway...u can check wic pprs u r able 2 sit for d coming exam tru acca website ma...
hehe...hope im not wrong....

Added on February 23, 2008, 11:40 amanyone has msian passing rate for each ppr???

how come u buy the original textbook?
this is very expensive.
some more the textbook is look like a dictionary only, wont guaranttee u to pass exam
do u think that the question will come out wat the tectbook write?

do u think that ACCA is like ur degree , is very easy to score?
just like study wat ur lecture teach then can pass.
and rely on ur lecture tips then can pass?

I got a "kangTou" that buy revision kit and textbook for P1 ,
1)BPP text book +revsion kit
2)ftc textbook + exam kit

total price for 4 book not exceed ur one original books

Special notes to u: dont think that ACCA is easy like ur degree

I got a best friend, his girlfriends also think that ACCA is easy,
she is from UTAR, and working full time.
And she said she got study something similar to P1 during her degree
And she said P2 is accounting only, sure can handle
And she took all the P1 -P3 paper. and she seld study.
and study last minutes, cause she also pass her UTAR degree by study last minutes

the result out, she score the highest marks is her P2 is 33%
and P1 is 29 and P3 is 28%

After it, my best friends(her boyfriend) call me to ask for help.
I just said that I already advise both at the begining of the year.

Kangtou? how much is it??
i think i might need some revision kits =x

as long as u r u ACCA student or affiliate , PER is annual submission, you just informing acca what u currently doing.

only the TRD need the signatures of your boss, who required to be an ACCA member or MIA member.
*
My only concern is my 3 yrs working experience in order to get my membership..

What if my boss is neither an ACCA member or MIA member?
