Hai yah,

So disappointed this time around, no Apple stall from any of the apple reseller partners.

Here is what happened to me. I asked the PIKOM booth for information, and the first girl say... "Apple ar? got got...go behind Hall 5.... very belakang one"... I went all the way back, only to find a small iPod reseller. I thought she misheard me say "Acer", because there is a large Acer booth next to it. Mana tau, ask her again, she said it *is* the small iPod reseller.

Keeping my cool, I dumbed down to her level and asked "Arh.... I want Apple notebook la (afraid that she don't know what a MacBook is)... she then say..er.. I dunno wo...".

Her senior, next to her, overheard and told me boldly "I saw some promoter girl wearing Apple white shirt, should be them, around Hall 1 or 2". All the way back to Hall 1 I go.... Found the promoter girls...but but..hor... they are promoting Philips for ALL IT ler...

rclxub.gif

Went back to PIKOM booth, confirmed with the boss that none of the big Apple resellers are here this time around. So sad.

Just cause they aren't at the PC Fair doesn't mean they aren't offering deals smile.gif Just go check out at the usual stores but if I know Apple well enough, there's not gonna be much sales going on *grins* biggrin.gif

Hence, no point waiting, just get it when u want to get it blush.gif

Hey guys, just got back from the fair myself too. There are both Epicentre and Mac City booths in hall 5, though they are considered really tiny ones with barely any Macs on display except one big iMac in Epicentre's booth.

Fairly disappointing this time around compared to the previous fair. Mostly iPod accessories and sort. sad.gif

Yeah, we don't need to advertise our products. If you know it, good then maybe buy. If not, nevermind. That's why Apple has their own store to sell their own products. Not like all mix brand like Acer/Sony/HP/Dell bla bla bla, you can see all those in every stores.

WOW, I went around 3 rounds and still miss. I guess the girl at the PIKOM booth was telling me the truth, just too small to notice... Hmmm...

The iMac promo at EpiCenter booth seems interesting but again, is it worth going through a sea of people just to see what's the fuss all about? I don't think so. Better go to your nearest Apple reseller to carefully decide and purchase your Mac. smile.gif

Last time I checked all machines except MB and MBP mostly has drop in DVD and come with preinstalled Tiger which I hate. So iMac with preinstalled Leopard is good news to me as I'm thinking of having one! smile.gif

I still prefer the dropped in kit.... considering that Leopard still poses lots of problems... now that Leopard is still early into its life cycle, should anything screw up, there's always a prior stable-OS to go back to.... whistling.gif

That is so true but if in the future I wanted to do a clean install, I have to reinstall Tiger then Leopard. It would be so much hassle! But you're totally right, Ethanius.

you can also use the drop-in kit to do a clean installation of Leopard without using the Tiger DVD first....

Yup, but only those that are recently shipped in. Some shops still hold old stock that's why they include the drop-in DVD of Leopard.

There's a premium reseller - Machines located at Sunway Pyramid.

You can find a MB in other computer shops too e.g. Cycom.
