i'm planning to get few too but still not sure which one to buy.
1 for bedroom and 1 for living room.
seems like only the battle between medklinn and sharp.
if its medklinn then its easy for me coz its only 1 model.
If its sharp, which one should i choose?
any suggestion?
thx

I am using the home and mobile units. I recommended them to my friends and we are all happy with Medklinn. The after service is good too. My home unit KO after 2 years of usage. I paid $100 in exchange for a new one.

I've also seen some Air Coolers that have Ionizers or something. I was thinking of getting that since I just have to fill in water to make the wind cooling. better than utilizing an aircond.

But, my dad has contemplated that it does not work strongly compared to an aircond. So, i'm abit confused right now.

There's so many brand in the market right some "CLAIM" or "MAY" do ionizer or air purify this and that .. and sometimes misleading advertisement can make a person come up with a funny conclusion. Do some research before buying any air purifier.

But i do reckon that air purifier helps you a lot. I have Extremely sensitive nose and just a simple small air purifier could help you in a way or two but no matter what brand air purifier you need to clean it's filter once a while. I've used an AMWAY air purifier and SHARP air purifier and both are EXTREMELY good brand but so many brands i've seen so far i love AMWAY's the most cuz the HEPA filter is THICK !!! it's extremely THICK, while the sensor I've did my research somewhere AMWAY and SHARP share the same tech. But in the end i've bought SHARP but with constant cleaning while AMWAY was a LOAN unit .. tongue.gif

Aircond don't have the filter like what air purifier have. All they have is just the black netting to filter the dust and it won't 100% filter the dust. And air cond just "conditions" the air to your need ... Not like air purifier it cleans your air (even if you fart a distance away it stills can detect).

I was at first looking at an environmentally friendly solution towards the air cond, so I thought the Air Cooler would be great as it cools the air with water and then purifies the air, as it advertises.

Btw, how much is the Sharp purifier? I only remembered the Air Cooler, that was merely 400 at Harvey Norman. And cheaper at HSL.

To be honest i'll go for reliable brand and easy to find Filter to replace.

I'm not too sure about gintell

Sharp if you can afford the larger air purifier from sharp that is a much better choice the model you mention is pretty small and it's pref. for small rooms and I wouldn't say not suitable for 2-3 people....

Panasonic .. i'm not too sure about this. I also didn't know they make one also hehehe ...

My advice. Goto gintell, or any electronic shop. OPEN and feel the Filter. Check is the HEPA filter thick or not. I remember OSIM air purifiers Filter is THIN like tissue paper. Can see thru ...... rclxub.gif

wah thanks man..

so its either;

Bigger Sharp

or

Panasonic

i think the Panasonic and the sharp is 999. The Sharp with de-Humidifier is 1199.
But I heard the de-humidifier is rubbish. Need to turn on 24/7 to get the de-humidifier effect.

Sharp with de-humidifier

The built quality also not good. Plastic more like toys...

Im just bought Sharp after sold off medklinn..
I do recommend Sharp since its ionizer is better than others. Sharp has own exclusive Plasmacluster which included + and - ion.. I cant stay with the negative ion smell from medklinn.. somemore medklinn used to be on 24 hours a day to produce its effect to kill bacteria.. I like those with fans which can actively filter out the dirt..
