I went in to the cinema, expecting the same greatness as Transformers 1. What I got was the greatness multiplied to a level I felt should have been toned down - - it felt bloated and heavy like I said, just like "At World's End".

I am a huge T1 fan. Not this one.

For you to say that just comes to show you have no respect of what others think.

You know what, maybe I am going to watch it again as well. Perhaps first viewing just felt a tad too long and tedious.

i sked ah... i go out and tell ppl T2 is 8/10, i kena whack... sweat.gif

actually who say the movie is not good, I never said that. I just said it is a bit tedious and the action sequences was all over the place. there were definitely issues with the sequel. not as "wow" as T1.

Star Trek 2009 got >90% rating in Rotten Tomatoes. I've watch Star Trek, like it but don't think it is that high. There several cheesy part and also the appearance of "old" Spock and he seems lifeless in his role. To me, 7.5/10 for Star Trek and a nice way to reboot  the series.

To get into prespective by rotten tomatoes critics

Star Trek = 95%

Tranformer 2 = 27%

Transformer 1 = 57%

I am Legend = 69%

The Dark Knight =  94%

Lol... yeah. Screw them movie critics. After watching T1, I was sure the score will be 80%. Was quite surprised. So there you go, I am not all into reviews and critics. I just believe you should judge a movie on how you felt it and not what others think.

Star Trek is the best movie this year (with PIXAR Up, coming August). I thought everything about it was stunning, from the first 5 minutes to the last 5 minutes.

A good movie is a good movie, not need excuses. Even when I'm tired from work and go watch Enchanted or Monster & Alien or I am Legend, I feel euphoria, happy, thinking, entertain even because all is such a good movie and well directed.

Transformer 2 is just ok and I am disappointed compare the 1st one.  Some action I like but I also like a story at least that don't insult my intelligence.

This movie is directed badly this time I think, perhaps due to their writers strike at one time and perhaps Michael Bay, pen it all the script himself due to "meeting his deadline"??

It seems like lack of direction & heart compare to the 1st one.

- slap in the left over CGI from 1st one, even it doesn't make sense in the overall plot. More CGI doesn't mean better.
- plot continuity is lost
- robots with Terminator like reference, really....a human transformer? I thought it was only in Terminator you have human robots.
- Captain or Admiral of the USS Carrier fleet can be call by someone unknown over the phone to fire top secret weapon in less then 2 minutes
- The world is just going about to end , and it seems the whole world population doesn't care or ignorant about it...
- Decepticon hideout is just beside Earth only, Megatron seems to get there pretty quick.
- Transformer can have babies...
- many more before too much spoiler reveal

My advice, watch this one, and leave thinking brain at home, and just enjoy some of the CGI fighting. Also don't bring kids to watch this.

At one moment you have Transformer transforming, another some backside or panty shot or some robots humping Megan Fox legs. The target age group for this movie is Teenagers in their "transformation" years....ONLY!!!! Watch with discretion parents!!! Also it contain insults to all parents would be, and your sons or daughters is ashamed of you.  doh.gif

Agreed agreed agreed. The jokes were also kinda lame, suits hormone raged teens (some dudes in the theatre were howling at the parts where Alice was, and also with the Megan Fox being also sexy on the bike... tongue.gif ). Megan Fox is a hottie for sure.

The CG for most part was fantastic, except the Egypt part. This movie is so huge, yet the flaws are noticable.

Michael Bay went all out of this one, and that's both a good and a bad thing. Eight out of ten is the best I can give. Anything more, sorry.

Best quote ever:

QUOTE
Roughly an hour in, Transformers 2 morphs from teen adventure into lumbering war movie. Bay and his screenwriters squander their human capital in order to show us scenes of 20-ton toys crushing 10-ton toys. At least in the last half-hour, Bay's incredibly sloppy continuity and overeager rush to action pays off.

Quite silly IMO, since when did Decepticons care for human feelings and even "threatened" that way ? They just kill kill kill. Maybe in the span of 2 years they got cleverer. shakehead.gif

Sam's dad's acting performance is over the top...

My conclusion is that the movie is a horrible experience of unbearable length.

There has also been considerable negative reaction to the characters Mudflap and Skids, who are alleged to embody racist stereotypes. Manohla Dargis of the New York Times said that "the characters indicate that minstrelsy remains as much in fashion in Hollywood as when, well, Jar Jar Binks was set loose by George Lucas."Critic Scott Mendelson said, "To say that these two are the most astonishingly racist caricatures that I've ever seen in a mainstream motion picture would be an understatement."Harry Knowles, founder of Ain't It Cool News, went further, asking his readers "not to support this film" because "you'll be taking [your children] to see a film with the lowest forms of humor, stereotypes and racism around."Director Bay has attempted to defend the film as "good clean fun" doh.gif and insisted that "We're just putting more personality in.

The twins are so freakin annoying, just like Jar Jar Binks. And I agree to this.

Losing respect for Bay ? You should.

Lol... this is what I would say

For those screaming Transformers 2 was freakin awesome and giving it 10/10 and "Best Movie of the Year" - - -

Transformers 2 = Twilight

Transformers 2 for the guys.

Twilight for the girls.

So I don't blame those screaming at how freakin awesome T2 was. brows.gif
