I have confidence in the sequel. I believe most ppl will be like "The sequel triumphs its predecessor." Everything is multiple times crazier and rapid. Movies TRANSFORMERS 2., MEGAN FOX :)

Transformers 1 best review quotes :
QUOTE Big, loud and full of testosterone-fueled car fantasies, Michael Bay's actioner hits a new peak for CGI work, showcasing spectacular chases and animated transformation sequences seamlessly blended into live-action surroundings. QUOTE Transformers is a wet dream for fanboys, with vehicles that whiz and whir into alien robots, spectacular sci-fi stunt chases, glistening military hardware, overheated computer software and brainy, hot girls who love Popular Mechanics. QUOTE LaBeouf is likable and grounded, two things you need from the lead in a film like this, although his female co-stars seem to have been cast based on how well their Maxim covers would sell. Q&A with Michael Bay Q : Explain the sequel in one word. A : Explosions. Explosions. Explosions. Q : Is the sequel better than the first? A : By miles. When you watch it, your childhood memories come flooding back. Q : Do you want this film to be leaked ? A : Yes. Definitely. I want to fans to see the comparison between before and after applying visual effects. |

The leaked version was highly praised for camera placements and lighting. Roger and Ebert Roeper (movie critics) gave it 3.5 / 5 claiming its "extraordinary to see nothing, but its damn good."

QUOTE(Tsj261 @ May 5 2009, 06:48 PM) make it three years..Bay says he wanna have a holiday for a year after TF 2 , so holiday + making the film = 2years, showing on cinema on 2011 or 2012 lol That's true. I recall he did mention about taking a break, coz he is just too exhausted doing movies back-to-back. So 2007 (TF1) then 2009 (TF2), don't expect 2011 for TF3. I say it will be only in 2012. |

I am going to watch this movie twice. I've never said this to any movie I haven't watched.
I can't imagine the pain ILM went through. |

QUOTE(Reimao @ May 24 2009, 02:40 PM) Almost the exact trailer with additional sequences that I watched in theatre before the start of "X-Men Origins".Imagine how I felt. I couldn't move for a while after the trailer was over. Seriously, this is like, the craziest and most awaited movie of the year. I am watching it more than once. This I promise. Tsk tsk tsk. The time has come.... Hopefully tomorrow I will be watching it at one of the TGV screens.
Revenge is coming. (Checking out on RottenTomatoes, there are quite a number of Rotten reviews, the most prominent saying the film triumphs the first film, but is nowhere memorable.) |

QUOTE(cllee86 @ Jun 22 2009, 08:29 PM) Cause rottentomatoes got more serious movie critics maa...they'll never approve movies like transformer or terminators... Cumulative review sites like RottenTomatoes and (my fav) Metacritic give the "overall" critics view on a particular movie. Movie critics say what they say as the movie is whereas we tend to rate a movie based on knowledge and personal experience. Both matters, it just depends which you think should be the one to look into.E.g I thought Eragon is one of the worst movies ever as it tried to be LOTR (since I love LOTR). |

Just watched it, TGV Kepong
Wow, some of you guys are giving it an unbelievable 9.8/10 ! Well, I wish I could. Transformers 2 is pretty much a "bloated" Transformers 1. It is a good thing, and also a bad thing. Michael Bay pretty much was yelling "More! I want more of everything!" and indeed the movie has it. Now, oddly, I was one of those screaming dudes wanting to give this movie a crazy high score. I just can't. I tried. The movie is not balanced well. The opening sequences were great, but I notice there were "too many close-ups" of the Transformers whereas in Transformers 1, you were vying towards wanting to see their faces more clearly, and when it does happen, it is a truly genuine wow moment. Too many this time around. The movie kicks off well. It rocks shakily back and forth between the "US Army" scenes talking army mumbo jumbo and "Sam's College Life". Again, it wasn't balanced well. I really want to know whether it is the same guy who edited this movie. The story is OK - - nothing really special or any "twist of plots". Without spoiling much, there were some very truncated stuff here. Half-baked you can call it. For example, Sideswipe transformed like once and that's it. And the character of Alice ? Also oddly, there were on rare occasions, issue with the acting performance or put it this way, really unnecessary (and awkwardly cut) moments. John Turturro and his "sidekick" provide some very instantaneous comedy, the moment you see them on screen. This is one of the things I loved about the movie. Memorable moments, well, perhaps the part where Optimus Prime is on the verge of dying. The whole slow motion thingy appears quite often too, including on Megan Fox. Its a great piece of visual effects extravaganza, but the whole thing feels "too heavy" and the plot suffers in the middle. Towards the end the major million dollar battle ensues. Again, nothing revolutionary about the sequences, just Autobots / Decepticons being thrown in one after another. Oh, and Skorponok also appears from the sands. This movie feels just like Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End - - epic, but overall, too heavy to grasp everything. A second viewing ensures a much "quicker" descend into what the movie offers, but first viewing, its either you were absolutely blown away, or you had mixed feelings. It never reaches the "bad levels", it never does. Score : 8.0 / 10 Verdict : A great piece of entertainment marred by a few flaws. |

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Jun 24 2009, 12:02 AM) I rate it lower than Transformer 1. But a good watch nevertheless. Won't waste your money. Yeah... it was after his DUI accident. Err... when he accident in his car, he was with a Decepticon - - Alice ! Michael Bay said he would incorporate Shia's actual hand injury into the movie plot line.8.5/10 Added on June 24, 2009, 12:04 amhas anyone noticed Shea Labuff's left hand covered in bandages? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Jun 23 2009, 11:40 PM) Yeah, noticed that too, especially the Egypt sequences. Notice how Transformers 1 carefully placed the distance between the Transformers, and zoomed in only when "ready to hit it big time". Transformers 2 was pretty much "Give em' all !"And the part where Megan Fox leg got .... , I was like WTH (again) ! What does it feel anyways ???!!! |

QUOTE(mssv19 @ Jun 24 2009, 09:21 AM) Watch it yesterday...the movie plot is all over the place. Plenty of plot holes and doesn't make sense logic. Agreed, but I gave it 8/10. Compare to 1st Transformer movie I would rate 8/10. For the 2nd movie, rate 6/10 After finishing, I don't feel as pump as I was when watching the 1st one. Its more like, FINALLY....its over.....That's it?? ok.... To those haven't watch, go with "low" expectation.....and set your mind, that you just want to see some robots action and CGI effect. Don't fuss about the story or acting so much and you'll be better serve. For those saying stuff about ppl giving low ratings, well, good for you guys. Note that I was pumped to watch this movie and was one of those who wanted to give like 10/10. I can't. Want to know the score on RottenTomatoes ? 27%. You might say, who cares ? Well, I loved (and still am) Star Trek, thought it was the best movie of the year. 62 out of 85 people gave it a rotten score. So if anyone gives T2 a low rating, respect them. |
