http://www.joblo.com/no-megatron-in-tf2QUOTE No Megatron in TF2? JoBlo.com reader "mayhem23" got himself a copy of Empire's new 2009 preview issue and saw some pretty interesting comments from director Michael Bay in the section about TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN. [There may be some SPOILERS ahead so I'll warn you now...] Most significant perhaps is that Bay "emphatically" insists there will be no Megatron in TRANSFORMERS 2. Says Bay, "He's not in this movie. That's not misinformation. The tank design you may have seen is just Hasbro coming up with a new toy." Interesting. Of course Bay could be yanking all our chains but that's a long way to go for throwing us off course. Bay also gives some context to the scene shown here. That is John Turturro being chazed up the side of a pyramid by a giant Transformer. Devastator. "Imagine six or seven or eight massive earth-moving vehicles, with tires as big as that tree," says Bay. "It's going to be gigantic." So what do you think? Do you believe Bay? Do you really think there will be no Megatron in TRANSFORMERS 2 and that The Fallen will be the sole villain? Extra Tidbit: Ba weep gra na weep nin ni bon.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1055369/faqQUOTE Will Megatron return?
No. Director Michael Bay has stated that Megatron will NOT be returning in this film and that the Cybertronian tank whose pictures have been floating around of late is a new character.
Will any of the original cast members return?
There are rumors doing their routine that Megatron - as a reformated Galvatron - and Jazz will be coming back for the sequel, but like with any information released, should be taken with a grain or two of salt.
Have any new Transformers been announced yet?
Megatron - Design pictures of a Cybertonian tank have been "leaked" on the internet. Michael Bay now claims in Empire Magazine's latest issue that Megatron is NOT in it, and that this tank is just a new toy. We'll find out.

Killed and thrown into the Laurentian Abyss, he is resurrected as a Cybertronian tank.He was voiced by Hugo Weaving in the first film." I felt cheated by all these rumors and infos. How can Megatron not be in TF2? Why the sissy names like Jolt or Skid when they can go for better ones like Prowl or Perceptor?

Variety confirms that Paramount will premiere the first footage from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen during SuperBowl XLIII on February 1st 2009, forgoing the traditional theatrical teaser trailer route. http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2009/...s-2-poster.htmlQUOTE Enhanced Transformers 2 Poster Thanks to Bilal, below is an enhanced version of the official poster for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen that reveals more details of the Tranformer face. Below is a quick snapshot of the various candidate faces we have so far. The first is Jetfire who has a vertical lined "beard" that the poster face doesn't have. The second one is Soundwave, who comes pretty darn close except he has one eye and a "mouth" while the poster doesn't. However, the toys have to be "locked" nearly six months to a year ago to meet manufacturing deadlines while Michael Bay and company can make adjustments as they see fit. Also of note is how similar to the Decepticon logo the face is (something Soundwave shares). It’s possible that a story point, supported by Alliance #4 Defiance #1 prequel cover is that "The Fallen" rather then Megatron, is the creator of the Decepticons. http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=24629QUOTE Sideswipe swiped Slowly but surely we're getting a better look at some of the new robots in TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN. First we got a look at the villainous Fallen on the teaser poster (who would seem to bear a resemblance to the Decepticons logo). Now we get a look at Sideswipe, a new Autobot who joins the film. The car is the Corvette Centennial Concept (you can see more photos of the actual car here) and he transformers into the robot you see below. Quite an upgrade from the original Generation 1 toy? Check it out below... Extra Tidbit: Sideswipe was a regular on the TV show until he was left out of the animated movie and never appeared in an episode again. Contract dispute? original source: http://www.tf08.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=177
