The first The Great LYN Nintendo DS Meet up was at McD, Sungei Wang in December 2005, with only 5 participants. Today it has become a monthly event/tradition in KL/PJ area, and bi-monthly in Kuching, Sarawak. With 8-10 participants averagely in each gathering.

Forumers will start voting for venues and dates at the forum board, either early begining of each month or end of previous month. The gathering Time will always starts at 11am/12pm, and ends after 3pm or later (because the NDS will run out of juices by then).

Selection on venues is normally based on these 2 main factors:

• easy access of public transports; &
• affordable hang-out areas;

Considering many of the forumers are still studying, who are heavily dependent on public transports to move around, and pocket money from family.

Reports:
Generally, AmCorp Mall is a good place to host our monthly gathering. However, this month's outing is a bit cold, due to lotsa real life commitments/factors. But no worries, 'cos there's always the nxt month! :thumbs:

Games Played:
Mario Kart DS - seems like everyone slacked, didn't practise at all. The performance was off the normal standard. LOL~

Tetris - Corez didn't present, so it makes the game more hope! :P We actually brought some jambu, to counter his jambi. Unfortunately, he found out about it, and stay home and pretend sick... ( :clap: just kidding!!!)

Sharing Session: sihumchai and penman were conducting a education workshop to Pr1me_Minister & kelvint83, of the up & rising Picross DS Community. They were touched, and planning to move on with this community.

The gathering ends at 3pm, as Sihumchai's DS ran out of juices. So we called it off and return home.

Despite the low attendance, we still have fun+good time!

Look forward to the next gathering, and see you all again!

For a change, we are going to have something different and more comfortable. We are gonna have a Hi-Tea Buffet LYN Nintendo Gathering, it's RM35++ person at Hotel Armada. Currently, there's a "2+1" promotion going on, i.e. if we can get a group of 3, it'll only cost less than RM30 per person.

Facts
From previous outings, I see averagely most of us, spent RM20 on drinks and food alone. This one... FREE FLOW!!! You can eat & drink until you vomit, from 12pm - 5pm.

Now wat?
Now we need confirmations on headcounts, so that we can make reservations. And once you have put your name(s) down, please respect & honour it. Your attendance will be crucial to the gathering.

Payment
we'll take the TOTAL amount, then divide by attendance on that day. It'll be great, if we can find a group of 3s, e.g. 3, 6, 9, 12, etc.

Food Selection
I usually avoids eating rice at a buffet, so since they have satay thats all I eat that day. Others that worth mentioning is the ice cream which they refilled around 4 pm. Can't really say much about the others but I saw lots of satay sticks at the table :).


Duration of meetup
Sihum x2 and Bernie x2 left first around 3 plus. Then Andy, Hamtarox & Penman around 5. Ayish left after that and myself around 6. I donno how long did Yuki, Prime and Pheonix stayed at the restaurant or maybe after being chased out by the management :).

PM played my ori Ouendan 2 despite his touch screen being busted (and you ought to see what happened to his...navy DSL but I'll leave that to PM himself to explain) :P
