I tried CF 2 3870 b4, but i only c a 2K points difference. Izzit normal?

Says there on the box.. HD3870X2 1GB DDR3 .. but a normal HD3870 already comes with 512MB DDR4.

So.. which is better ? single HD3870X2 or 2 X HD3870 CrossFire ?
