Actually, I'm curious to know why some lenses are so big (as in the front opening eg:72mm/100mm diameter) when some lenses are small.

If not mistaken, even some of the L lenses also small opening right?
*
bigger diameter to allow more lights in smile.gif

the bigger the diameter, the harder it is to make, so that explain the high price

Ops i found it...no need already haha~~ sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

maybe order from shashinki hai.....i duno how to identify front focus and back focus....sad
*
very easy. follow the below step

1) focus on a subject on a piece of paper (45 deg).
2) Shoot
3) zoom in, the subject u just focus should be sharp sharp. The item above and below should be blurred.

again, have to bring back there...ill do it after the Zoo trip then.

i have an incremental file name regardless of CF card. So roughly u'll know the shutter count. The format is like this

101\IMG_xxxx.jpg

where 101 = first 10K. once it reached IMG_9999.jpg it will start 102\ folder

so e.g. 103\IMG_2008.jpg is most likely 32008 shutter count. It's not accurate, but good enough to give a rough count.

as recommended...
i just bought my first dslr, 400d kit at 3C cyberworld, lowyat last saturday.... freebies=2gb cf card + tripod + bag.... total RM2450 cash (CC should be higher)... then add uv filter (RM120) and screen protector (RM20) ends up with RM2,590... ok or not?

love to take picture with it  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
RM 120 for a UV filter is abit too expensive. I can get the kitlens 58mm Hoya UV filter for RM50. But it's a good deal overall on the camera smile.gif

Yes yes, very thank you all for giving me advices. I'm still a student and my budget is currently limited at a range, around RM200+ or below, still thinking of Jenova, only problem is, where to get? One of the Lowepro looks nice but can only fit one DSLR, price RM180. sweat.gif
*
alternatively, you might want to get something like mine which is a bagman brand. It looks exactly like a crumpler 6 million. But half the price. i got mine for ~ RM 170.

*

guys if u r getting the 50mm f1.8, try the filter by shooting a light source at an angle. My hoya filter is giving me lens flare, so i would rather not have it.

Google results show that it is a common problem as the front element is residing quite deep. A good filter will cost like half the price of the lens. Might as well don't have a filter, rosak, get a new one smile.gif

s7ran9er : you know lake garden ? i have attached map and various of transports, PM me if u still have problem

rapala: confirm going ka ? PM me your details, i can pick u up smile.gif
