just got myself 9600gt, is it that nvidia capped the core clock to 740mhz? Beyond 740 the comp will just blackout, and i saw something like nvidia made a chip to limit it beyond that. But just now when i am using the newer driver i can oc to 740 and run atitools artifact scanner for somewhile. But i found some funny prob with TF2, i clear everything and install the older driver which came with the card itself and the prob was gone. But now when i oc to 740, i open atitools, it gave me a blackout.

i got my 9600gt clocked to 740/2050 mhz and i got 11700+ on 3dmark06. Tried crysis demo at 1024x768 on a 15inch lcd, got average FPS 50 with high settings and 16xQ. Crysis benchmark i run at 700/2000mhz. Is it good enough?

i have a 19inch only for my xbox360, so i use 15inch for my pc, and i still love it

9600gt is nothing low-end, it is on par with 8800gt, dont make it so low ok?

9600gt is playable at 1600x1200 in high settings in crysis, around 31fps according to the review. It is a good buy for mid-high end, but dont just say it until so low, discourage ppl to buy sia.

there are plenty of ppl facing the screen lockup problem with 9600gt. I know the issue from evga, BFG and nzone forum. Me myself also facing the prob, i dont know what is the main prob, i am using manli 9600gt, even at stock clock, the screen will black out when i play TF2. My PSU is acbel 450W, +12V rail is at 20A. How do i increase the ampere of the rail? or is it impossible to do so?

For TMTANWHACKY, a silverstone 400w truepower psu will cost u rm150-180, or u can get 500w+ for around rm200-250.

tried to reinstall my driver back to 171.16 which came with the disc, running like charm currently, but i dont know later how.. sigh. Palit so cheap.. haiz..

honestly i am satisfied with 9600gt, 3870 is like 100-200 more than 9600gt but perform like +/-5% more without AA/AF filters? For me the 100-200 doesnt worth that. 8800gt worth more IMHO if u wanna fork out 100 to 200 more.

sigh, u guys never check how is the performance comparing both cards, don wan to argue edi. 3870 is ATI high end, enuf said.
