QUOTE(storm88 @ Mar 14 2008, 06:08 PM) the 9800GX2 at shore ady Crazy man...and you bought the Zotac. That card better be performing well or else, that's a huge waste of money...RM2500 minus go lowyat, can find it ady btw, just realised something for those who had NON SINGLE RAIL PSU, no matter ur psu is 850watt or 900 watts u will be ownaged Added on March 14, 2008, 7:31 pmAgain though...that's a massive hike from recommended retail price. NDA is yet to be lifted as well...so, that RM2.5k is bloated with premium. This post has been edited by clayclws: Mar 14 2008, 07:31 PM |

QUOTE(daytonatkf @ Mar 14 2008, 10:47 PM) Why other web site / forum already post the images, info and etc about GX2, but not the temperature info? is it the temperature is a issue for this GX2? NDA is 18th March. Need I say more? And Storm88 got sponsored? Damn. Get to play with it eh? Since he is working with them, can we expect a "bersih" review? Hope it only happens with that particular card or batch or brand. If this is the case with all 9800GX2, then, it's a really flawed card.

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Mar 15 2008, 03:24 AM) i kinda expected the GX2 to be power hungry monsters.... You truly are a mad man which is why IF i decide to go quad SLi on the GX2 ill be getting a second PSU i.e. SST DA650 to just power the cards only the rest of the system will be handled by my current OP750 |

...not to mention the games that would actually support Tri SLI...and have any improvements at all...

You guys have been warned long ago not to expect much from GeForce 9 series. We knew all along that the 8800GT and 8800GTS (G92 - which was developed for GF9s) were released just to slow the sales of AMD's HD38xx series. So, don't expect much from it. NVIDIA might as well labelled the 8800GT/GTS as 9800GT/GTS (or GTS and GTX). Their secondary strategy to slow AMD's sales worked. The primary strategy to release the entire GF9s faced lots of problems due to expectation.
In any case, if the 9800GTX is really released at RM13xx (previous 8800GTS price) then it may prove a worthy buy for those who don't dare to OC their 8800GTS (G92). Let's see how thing goes next week. This post has been edited by clayclws: Mar 27 2008, 01:06 AM |
