hi guys...
just wondering if anyone else is experiencing hang-ups when playing multiplayer on xbox live? the glitch also unlocks both the 'short haul' and 'long haul' achievements just like that, kinda messed up...

There are some bug issues on the 360 version.
Coming Grid Launch maybe you can go to Zouk and complain to the developer directly "Oi, why my Grid freeze!" biggrin.gif

the bug issues reported all seem to be affecting single player mode. i haven't experienced any pause/freeze in single player mode yet so far. only freezing up (need to quit back out to the dashboard) in multiplayer mode... but then again, may just be the damn internet connection...

yeah, i've got the same bug with u. got both the achievements suddenly after a short lag. The best part where there's another bug when i was playing a rank match and was pathetically on last place, suddenly the game hang for a while and the match was automatically over and i won the race on first place. feels like a Jumper now.

owh i've got the beat the developer achievement last night too. biggrin.gif

Hmm.... there's still a distinct lack of feel when using the steering wheel. Going full speed on the Mulsanne "straight" the car front end feels floaty and twitchy... in fact too twitchy.

Even PGR4 has better feel than this.

GRID is the best racing game to date. It feels right with traditional/bench mark feel of codemaster is still there. I guess they picked up where NFS left. I dunno, do you call Grid a simulation? i think its a balance of sim and arcade which IMO NFS fail to deliver. PGR?!! c'mon guys that game is a joke. But at leas its better the FROZA... my eyes FORZEN playing that game. Owh!!! Singaporeans must be jealous their flags are not listed tongue.gif MALAYSIA BOLEH..

(ps: well if its not because, part of the game was developed here i guess there's no Malaysian flag hehehehe) wink.gif

Grid is a total game of ARCADE..they totally left out their root which were simulation...(toca race driver 1 and professional race driver 2), dunno if got 3 or not lazy to wiki...

forza still the best simulation i ever played, while GT is totally towards simulation and it makes it feel not simulation...PGR 4 is a balance of arcade and simulation while pgr3 was arcade...still i love my forza.... tongue.gif

grid would probably aiming for race fans who're more interested only on racing. well i think all racing games should be done like that since the game pit us as a driver not a manager.

well, there's some simulation element in the game like selling your car on ebay and getting a new teammate. lol

Grid a simulation? i only played the demo, but hard cornering with the mustang without oversteer is not something i will call a simulation.

LoL.... some of u missed the point entirely. It doesn't matter if GRID is a simulation or arcade. As a driving game, at the very least the feel of driving has to be there, especially when you use the steering wheel.

Case in point. Going full tilt on Mulsanne in a LMP1 class car. The steering should feel heavy with all that downforce pushing the car down to the track. Instead, the force-feedback still feels light, and as a result it's hard to keep the car pointing straight. Same thing under braking. The feeling of driving is just not there.

Hence the comparison with PGR4. Both GRID and PGR4 sits somewhere around the middle between an arcade racing game (ie, NFS, TDU, etc) and full tilt race sim game (ie, Forza 2). No point comparing it Forza 2 as that game handles the driving physics on a whole different level (ie individual tire's traction circle, lateral force, tire temp, etc..).
