This v0.9x really give me lots of troubles... my .APE files took more than 1 minute to load. Its instantanous when i use the player's "open directory" function, but when i double-click on the .APE file my whole computer will hang and i need to wait and wait until everything went smooth again.

Not only that, the player will hang for over 2 minutes when i'm playing .APE files and click on the "X" button to exit the player. I had to stop the song then only exit the player to avoid my computer being hang.

enough, i'm reverting back to the previous version!

my instruction is for v0.9, sorry

they did say the format has problem.. I don't use ape anymore.. I've switched to flac

hi all, i've just recently made a change from using winamp to foobar2k. been reading all the posts in here.very helpful for a newbie like me. just have a few questions. hope someone there would be willing to help

which DSP list order would u all suggest for the best sound. i personally use Resampler (PPHS) --> Convert stereo to 4 chanels --> noise sharpening ---> advanced limiter. sometimes i would add crossfeed in between. what does the crossfeed do?

fyi, i'm using audigy 2 soundcard and creative inspire 4.1 speakers with kernel streaming output (24 bit). thanks for any replies.

Crossfeed is a hack to deal with the fact that recordings are mixed for use on speakers. With speakers your right ear hears a bit of the left speaker and your left ear hears a bit of the right speaker. With headphones, your right ear hears only the right speaker and your left ear hears only the left speaker.

Unless you're using headphones, crossfeed is not needed.

Hi, i just started using foobar today, so please bear with me...

I've installed the foo_uie_albumart plugin but it doesn't work. Must i put the album art images in a special folder? or are there other settings i must do?

what do you mean by "it doesn't work". elaborate.

the plugin reads cover from the paths listed in sources tab.

you must use columns ui's layout tab to position it in the panel.

if i not mistaken there is a component for directsound 2.0 for foobar 0.9x. where can i get it? i kinda forgot where to get le. T^T

built-in. v0.9.2 adds configurable fade-in/out times for play/stop/pause/change/etc.
