I let foobar set it itself. For full album, I used Ablum gain (obviously) but difference gain for every album even from the same artist. For single, use track gain.

In Preferences > Playback, I choose "use album gain" as replaygain mode using -5dB (84.0db) for files with RG info.

You only can edit the album gain manually, not track gain. Select the track(s), use shift key for multiple track, right click > replaygain > edit replaygain info (advanced)

can anyone help me? now i have suond blaster 4.1 with altec lansing ahs502, what setting should i use for foobar2000 for better sound quality?

I have a problem with foobar.

For instance i am listening to XXX playlist then suddenly my friend send me an mp3 then i click on it. Then foobar will play that file and at the same time clear my current playlist of all its original files. then when i finish listening to the file, i must load my playlist all over again.

Is there any way to overcome this problem?

preferences > core > commandline > select "always send to playlist", use any name

i wanna set the output to ASIO, i found that r few ASIO.dll (what i download from the site), i choose one and put to the component folder, and i cant choose which soundcard to use(coz the list is empty) and when i play, it state an error mesej "failed to initialize ASIO driver" how to solve it~ or any step toinstall ASIO plugin?

probably your soundcard doesn't support ASIO or even if it is capable, the driver doesn't support it.

I'm using sblive + kxproject driver.. although i don't use ASIO, it can work if I resample it to 48000Hz

wanna ask, how to make foobar play audio files in 24 bit mode ?

set the output date format to 24bit fixed-point

you soundcard must be capable of playing at 24bit too..

alright... this foobar player is superb, i always let WMP do the job, but now... foobar take over, anyway for audio files only. Ppl out there... give it a try... and learn it... u'll have fun with it!
