Is there any plugin so that foobar can automatically post what song we currently listen to Twitter or Facebook?
That would be great QUOTE(kcirdenk @ Jul 27 2010, 12:08 AM) You using custom skin? Maybe you didn't put the image for the button in the right folder? If not, try to uninstall <- i used to do that a lot |

Latest foobar2k update
QUOTE foobar2000 1.1 Beta introduces automatic updates for components Source: Download Squadby Erez Zukerman (RSS feed) Aug 2nd 2010 at 7:45AM Foobar2000, the hard-core Swiss-army knife of the Windows music player world, has recently released version 1.1, which introduces a major new feature: Automatic component updates and removal, right from the UI. This is a big deal because Foobar2000 is extremely modular. There are components for just about anything, from playing files directly from within 7z archives, all the way to changing the entire interface (not just a "skin", but a completely different interface with its own components). Installing components is still a somewhat manual operation: You need to go to the gallery using your Web browser and get the ZIP. But once you have the ZIP, you can now click Install within Foobar2000, browse to the zip, and you're done. Once a component is installed, you can have Foobar2000 automatically check if it's been updated – this is another long-overdue feature, both for developers and for users (buggy components can crash Foobar2000 completely). The auto-update facility works only for components hosted on the official component gallery, but I think that's good because it will consolidate all developers around the official gallery, and so users will have one simple Web page they can browse for interesting components (rather than a forum, which is a pain to use). I'm using the 1.1 beta right now, and it's working just fine. If you're leery of it messing up that config you painstakingly customized for months, you can always just install it as a portable application -- which means it won't touch your existing files or configuration. |

Edited some of my MP3's tag, using Mp3tag.
When play in foobar, it show different tag; artist, title, etc. <- didn't see this title, etc. when in Mp3tag. Why is that? Can we prevent this? |

QUOTE(fariz @ Aug 9 2010, 03:40 PM) when you edit using mp3tag, set it to save as a specific format, ID3v2.4, which is the default tag for foobar2000 Thanks bro. Really appreciate it http://www.foobar2000.org/FAQ#tagging_files |

QUOTE(fariz @ Sep 6 2010, 02:12 PM) open the cue file in notepad. make sure the file name in the cue file is similar to the audio file name, check the extension too. It works! Added on September 6, 2010, 2:42 pmEh. One more thing bro. Can we add the 'Year' tag in the cue sheet? This post has been edited by de4thscythell: Sep 6 2010, 02:42 PM |

QUOTE(Vigilant @ Sep 23 2010, 07:58 PM) Thanks a lot! That is a wonderful config but I've tried it, but still it doesn't sort the mp3s by "foldername" then expand it into "tracklist" with "filename" format, because I keep my mp3s in a folder and name them by "artistname - song", currently I'm looking into how to modify it to suit my preference, thanks for the suggestion How about you put your own tag for the MP3s according to their folder? I need a config like that because I have many mp3s with various artist - album, yes mostly anime's OST, let say I've bought 2-3 compilation CDs, rip them to mp3s, leave the mp3 tags blank, put them in a 3 different folder, then add all 3 of them to foobar library or playlist, How I am suppose to sort them in foobar as per my preference above? For such as this config it will sort my mp3s by albums. Heh, to get a clear "picture" kindly click the spoiler below » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « For example: you can put "Anime OST 1" as the album (in the album tag) for the MP3s in the 1st folder, "Anime OST 2" for the MP3s in the 2nd folder, and so on. Just create your own album. Just ignore the original one. So that you can sort them easily. Just my 2 cents This post has been edited by de4thscythell: Sep 23 2010, 08:15 PM |
