if you have portable mp3 player, it might not support ID3v2.4, so you need to save the tag to ID3v2.3 when copying files to the player.
Owh. Now I know. Thanks for letting me know!

This question might be redundant, but I've been modifying & searching configs to suit my preference, and end up with failure so far.
Hence, my question is, where I can find config that able to sort the playlist by folder path, and can display album art & fancy stuff. I do like config such as Monolite plus for example, but I keep my mp3s by folder, and I don't tag them by albums, well not all, most of my mp3s are tagless or have different tagging version etc. So when I use Monolite config, the Foobar will end up displaying multiple album/artist from the same folder. To be clear I need a config that groups the playlist by folder and ignore the mp3tag Thanks. This post has been edited by Vigilant: Sep 16 2010, 07:13 PM |

That is a wonderful config but I've tried it, but still it doesn't sort the mp3s by "foldername" then expand it into "tracklist" with "filename" format, because I keep my mp3s in a folder and name them by "artistname - song", currently I'm looking into how to modify it to suit my preference, thanks for the suggestion http://monkeyb07.deviantart.com/art/Foobae...-test-172902916 BTW,changed to a new skin and really love it: ![]() I need a config like that because I have many mp3s with various artist - album, yes mostly anime's OST, let say I've bought 2-3 compilation CDs, rip them to mp3s, leave the mp3 tags blank, put them in a 3 different folder, then add all 3 of them to foobar library or playlist, How I am suppose to sort them in foobar as per my preference above? QUOTE(de4thscythell @ Sep 23 2010, 08:12 PM) How about you put your own tag for the MP3s according to their folder? Hehe yeah I did that previously, but just that I have too many new mp3s day by day, and u know they all come from all sort of source For example: you can put "Anime OST 1" as the album (in the album tag) for the MP3s in the 1st folder, "Anime OST 2" for the MP3s in the 2nd folder, and so on. Just create your own album. Just ignore the original one. So that you can sort them easily. Just my 2 cents Sometimes I even took someone's HDD and the next thing I know and u know I even have multiple copies of same song Of course tagging them is a good way to keep our mp3s neat, but even I have all my mp3s tagged I still wanna know how to make my foobar like that BTW, I've tried to play around with the ELplaylist settings/grouping and try whatever variables possible like %pathname% %directoryname% etc. but still nothing.
