I know its upsetting, but I wouldnt go into your websites and spam your boards if someone stole work. I would grab the right authority or make a topic about it. Not spam 4 different threads, that I have to go clean up now.

will the admins here take action on him as well?? considering this is the place he stole his material from. not only that he even stole from a moderator....thats a huge disrespect in my view.

not a matter of who he stole from la.

whether you steal from a baby, granny or someone your own size - you're still bad.

in this case, the offence was not done on LYN. just that his action did cross some LYN members.

imho that deserves a zero tolerance man. people like that do not deserve to be part of a community...worse still a community that they steal from. and thats what LYN is....a community. yes we have bad apples...but hes not even an apple anymore.

Me to I never really cared for the reviews anyway I was more interested in the modding. but he did put his own words in the reviews he just used other peoples pictures

The real issue in plagarism would be stealing others words and in this case, Ben wrote them up himself. So I let bygones be bygones.

Hopefully things come back down to earth sooner rather than later.

Anybody can make a mistake. It's a whole other thing to take responsibility for them. Plagarism is something, I'll be honest, I have been guilty of in the past. I remember a professor of mine early in college was a stickler for citing things properly in papers. I completely screwed up citing several things in a major paper and he wrote on it that he wanted to see me.

I got freaked out and while I talked to him he reviewed the university's policy on plagarism. Needless to say, I was lucky I did not get kicked out (the possibility is there for students to have that happen to them). I re-wrote the paper and aced it. Even now I feel he was one of the best professors I've had in my 5 years getting a B.A. in Psychology.

I wouldn't be where I am in academics without that forgiveness on his end and I'll always remember that.

So I for one, forgive you man. Stay, as I sure want you to.

Anyway, i would like to encourage modders of this forum to post their worklogs in other well known forums too, like hardforum.com and gamespot.com, to prevent people from stealing pics and claim them as their own.
