BSEE, BEng(Hons)UK, B.Tech qualification holders earn the following annual salary ranges in the US.



It comes to an average of about US$70k per year for the the different types of positions listed. That's more than 5k a month.

If you're an engineering grad from the US, Australia or UK you may want to reconsider your job if your employer is paying you less than RM3.6k in Malaysia.That's not even 1/3 of what an average engineer job in the US is getting.

Comparing figures to figures(forget about the exchange rates), still they are getting at least 1.5-2 times more than us.
