actually i can do as im currently based outside malaysia, but will you do it? I currently practise an expenditure of 30% and savings of 70% . You should do that, but then again, its very nice to spend money.

OnG pay you based on US currency, when convert then it look like a big sum to malaysian ringgit

i use to get paid USD4k when i was in sudan for OnG work
so literally 4k just like another rm4k without conversion

after conversion then BOOOM!

so as we live and our life is here, then just be grateful to what we have and keep on sharing information for our own reference in future.

cheers.

Damn, i suddenly feel my 7k basic +3.2 allowance is so little. Good for you man, while I need to think on next action step.

What kind of IT job the new company offers?
What is the responsibility?
RM7000 is very high.
is this normal among IT?
*
yes indeed, just 2 years huh. thats almost better than SAP starters.

what kinda programming? but i do agree that end user comps normally pay more...which is why we stick to consulting first and when we're older only go to end users and ask for some fat salary

it is important to bring your promotion "outside" after 3 years if you dont get promoted in 1 company. yes friends and mgmt, and value creation but look at the big picture..there is no way you'll be getting 30% every year or 3 years. So by jumping sometimes, help but sometimes you can jump out of 1 boiling water into the fire.

Choose ur actions well, take some risk in life, calculated risk not stupid and rash decisions.

Age: 34
Education: Bachelor
Job Description : manage and implement IT projects
Industry : banking
Tenure : permanent
Experience before joining : 11 yrs
Salary : RM 11k  + 2-3 month bonus

is this reasonable for a project mgr?

This is a good deal man, but then I see your age at 34..then I think its not enough for that age. Aim higher bro, I know ppl in the same field and around your age asking for 18k. But that also depends what kinda software are you referring to.

My salary is not far of but I'm delighted to think what I can do with additional few K hehe

Congrats on this job.
