why dont u just move one to 3870? brows.gif
*
Simple reason, price performance ratio.
The best thing to buy is always the 2nd on the high end list...LOL...
And also some people dun need a 3870, for people like me who plays Football Manager most of the time and only go NFS or COH once in a while, 3850 is decent enuff....

Haha, nice catch cschun86. Really curious abt it.

Btw, HD3870 price almost same with 512version 8800GT, which one is better to grab?
*
8800GT is quite hot which comes great performance & lots space overclocking , HD3870 better in terms IQ, lots space for overclocking & CF setup dual ratio is better SLi

8800GT is better if you want performance without overclocking, 3870 is better when overclocked (need modded bios though). Or you could just get a 3850 with good video ram and overclock it, its pretty much identical to the 3870 except the clock speed is set lower (but can easily clock to 3870 speed or more thumbup.gif ).

8800GT is quite hot yeah, anyone seen the new NV92 8800GTS yet? Looking at the official spec by Nvidia it looks all set to kill possibly even the 8800 Ultra. But 8800GTX confirm mati liau mega_shok.gif And its way below RM2k shocking.gif (then again, I can go ahead and dream that money fall from the sky cry.gif )

bcoz DDR2 800 still cheaper 1066, & 800Mhz is the mainstream for now.

Well, 800mhz ram is cheaper, and often they use the exact same components as the 1066Mhz version (in fact, its quite possible to find 667Mhz ram using chips found in 1066 ram). 1066 ram is just already overclocked versions of 667/800 ram. As long as the components are the same, the overclocking end result is more or less the same regardless of the original speed.. This also applies to all other PC components like CPU, GFX, mobo.

You may need to increase the NB voltage, but only as a last resort when the fsb will not go high enough to achieve your desired ram speed.

@Adrian
yup,i agree what u said,if u go only to high end game only u need high end gc,buy what u need.

@lohwenli
i have to date u one day for the gc soldering

@lehteck
i know what is ur next target

@intothefantasy
800MHz is much cheaper than 1066MHz ram while u can save the money for others thing,and even u can oc them to 1066mhz
but do take note that for those like OCZ,u can always grab 1066MHz onyl if u really wanna it,why?
cause i 99% sure that OCZ is a brilliant RAM maker,they using Promos in 800MHz while only use GMH or GKX in 1066MHz
so for those who think both are same,for OCZ,u'll damn regret.
and one thing,some of the ram maker like Cellshock and G-Skill,for those ram that rated 800mhz and 1066mhz,they are using different brand or layer of PCB,for those,u get what u paid for.

@zeustronic
how's ya sales in PC Fair? brows.gif

@tapirus
do more work on ur ram setup.
u may try 800MHz CL3 if u using GMH or GKX or if cant,make it CL4 800mhz,u can get some boost from there.since u r using nforce chipset,set ur command rate to 1T,but i'm not sure whether u can gain anything from 2T to 1T or not,i tried N680i,seeno different,maybe AMD can get something.

@speedguy10
ya lo,this is what i hate,when enough money,new gc coming out and when u save money again,new gc coming again cry.gif
