i think i have the worst case of faulty screen ever. mine stopped working last week. first i thought it was because of low battery, so i fully-charged it & when i turned it on, there was only a set of green & red horizontal lines. tried to restore it, hard reset & every piece of trouble shooting i could think of. in the end, gave up & sent to vr tech for service.

they said if they can't get it to work, i might get a brand new ipod touch, which is a plus. mine was the 38 batch, i think. now i'm worried about the iphone. the touch is covered by warranty, thus not much risk at all. but the iphone.....makes me sweat just thinking if the touch screen suddenly one day goes...dead. urrghhhh.....

err..is that question directed more towards me? rationally yeah, you should only need one or the other. i bought the touch with the belief that i'll never buy the iphone. but alas, i caved. which comes in handy now that the touch stopped working.

i'm getting a one-2-one exchange...yay ! a brand new touch. seems like the one that i sent in is badly damaged. haven't pick up the new one yet, so not sure about the production batch & firmware...
