hey guys, was wondering if anyone can recommend some PCI slot cooling devices? I have no idea how much they cost, so i dont really have an estimate budget for it. If possible do recommend a shop to purchase it.
Thanks.

I don't know how much they cost, but mostly they're not that effective, unless they're powerfull enough (and unfortunately, noisy as well).

It won't do much good unless u have a very restrictive case ...
Even if those that perform slightly better would causes lots of noise ... You could take out all the PCI slot bracket and than position a case fan facing toward the PCI slot opening. That would help to exhaust the hot air and u got to choose the fan size and speed. Allow you to balance between noise and airflow ... |

actually i just bought a PCI blower from ALL IT for RM10.
that damn thing helped to drop my 8800GTS card (1st card) idle temps by over 10c! it seriously spews out alot of hot air through the back of the case. load temps are roughly the same. mebbe 2-3c drop only. noise wise, ok la...not so bad. pic This post has been edited by mADmAN: Nov 21 2007, 12:00 PM |

nope....i already said it spews out hot air through the back of the case.....
so it sucks hot air from INSIDE the case and blows it OUT. in my case its perfect coz the fan is at the hottest area of the GCs....the SLI bridge area. the PCI blower is a real good companion to the 8800 cards to bring the temps down man...and its friggin cheap too. ![]() This post has been edited by mADmAN: Nov 21 2007, 12:01 PM |

that blower is good for gts.. first because it right where the holes are on the heat sink.. helps "pull air" neway i sugest u zip tie two 80mm fans together and zip tie them to the pie braket if u wnat some direct cooling..

But u tie 2 fans together and put it there... Then the hot air will circulate inside lor... Suck it outside would be better....
