Wise and un-wise. up to you if you can cope with the low salary during ur first few years.

2. I have no plan to take on a 25K course. But will consider for the free boot camps/MDEC programs. Can anyone tell me when will be the next course scheduled?
MDEC programs will only sponsor 'jobless people for certain period of time' and students.

3. I have seen in this thread that some people jump from 1.8K to 15K within 3 years. And i do remember there's a forumers which earning pounds living in Msia by doing ABAP. But i also heard that there is some ABAPers who earn penny after years of experience because according to them, technical ppl is not being appreciated much as functional consultants. Can anyone comment on this?
I have seen some businessman earn his first pot of gold within 3 years entering the business. some businessman 15 yrs liao still struggling hard and barely survive.

4. One commonly asked question: Is ABAP a dying module? as it's getting saturated and seems like Java is coming to it's way. Also heard that there's plan to dramatically reduce configuration/customization and replaced with some automated customization tools(forgot the name)
U mean SOLMAN ah? btw ABAP is very important in SAP because every enhancements require ABAP. However, more and more people are learning ABAP. Even functionals know ABAP (i aso know ABAP although i not ABAPER) that's why it's saturated coz a lot SAP consultant knows ABAP. ABAP will live long forever

5. If i jump into ABAP, should i focus in Netweaver, R/3 or ECC 6?

This is for BW ALE Delta.
I need to create R3 Delta Extractor BW for SAP Standard tables but these tables doesnt have the delta-specific field that can be used as delta.

So I tried to use ALE Delta for some of the sap standard tables and it worked and thats because the ALE Delta config already maintained in SCDO by SAP. But there are some of the SAP tables are not set in the tcode SCDO so I need to create a new entries in SCDO and generates the update program. But the thing is these tables are maintaned by user in SAP Standard tcode and the user do not want to have a customized program to maintain the tables. So how should I do this? Where should I park the generated update program? I already checked he tcodes doesnt have any user exits.

The user maintains the tables in SAP's standard Table Maintanance Generator(tcode SM30). I want to park the ALE generated program in the Table Maintanance Generator event 02 - After Saving record to table but it requires me enter the access key since its a standard sap object. I dun wanna do that since it requires a lot of effort for approval..

i'm certified in SAP ABAP and am working in Oil & Gas manufacturing company for bout 3 months... but guess what? ABAP is really not my cup of tea as i hate programming and i'm totally lost my interest working in here...

i'm wondering what should i do? at first i really wish that i can expose myself to SAP but now not anymore... what's in my mind is a job which can earn me $$$ ...

Yep sudah tengok lor these tables doesnt have link to other table yang ada timestamp thats why I tried to use ALE Delta instead if not i oso dont want susah payah to use that ALE Delta.

yeah i know... just don't feel like scratch all over my head in thinking bout the coding... i really hate programming... not even a person in this company know bout ABAP Programming and i'm the only one... as for your info, i'm fresh and they expect me to do something like a consultant did... what the hell... ridiculous rite? i wish i can join as Application Consultant rather than ABAPer...

i wish to but there's no one i can ask for help if i face a problem in coding as no one know bout programming in here... is NO ONE... not even a single person... how do i improve my skill since there's no one teach or guide... i understand being an initiative person could learn a lot but the problem is i did try to do research through internet as well as calling up my friends who are ABAPer as well but still ended up nothing... you should know, the way to learn programming is to have at least one or two partner sitting side by side doing the hands on together in order to discuss and understand well right? but how could i do this since no one here know bout programming?

Errm.. as a CERTIFIED ABAPer, you should be able to go through .. now, let me think .. if a certified person complaining that he/she couldn't do the job .. I guess the certification is meaning less .. wonder why some companies prefer to look for a certified consultant..

Yeah, some of the tables has entries up to 3 million records and that is in development box, i dunno in Production.

Anyway, as cheezy said, there are lot of forums/web boards in the net that you could join in. That is the only way I can survive till now .. I was quite active in sapfans but not now.. there are many others who could help there .. but ... before you ask question there, please and please do use the search feature first.

I know MDEC did give free SAP training for few selected USM students..not sure what module..and they have the chance to work as SAP consultant with axon..of course u have to pass the interview first la

Should i go for SAP certification in few weeks time?? base on talk to few people, SAP certification exam not easy. So i need to study really hard for the exam. Don't want to delay very long, so if i choose to take the exam, i planned to take it on 16th July( one of the SAP Malaysia's examination date for July). Than look for SAP related job after the completing the exam. RISK, its not guarantee i will past the exam.

If let say your already have experience and want to sit only for the exam, u need to send ur resume for vetting to SAP Malaysia, they will revert back whether you are qualified to sit for the exam or not. And bear in mind not everybody can simply sit for the exam even if you have 5,6 years exp and above.

Hmm I dont know bout last year, but my fren hes a bw leader having 8 years exp in BW/BI still need to send his resume to SAP for vetting. Yep talked to Madhu as well. Luckily he passed the exam.
That was in April 2010. His certification code is C_TBW45_70. Well i think its associate's.
