Hey, anybody know whta happen to Chan Fung?

He hasn't been on air for more than 1 month. I heard some controversy going on.

Anyone knows wat the reason?

his contract was never renewed by 988 coz his salary too high.

if any company having a function and need a good MC..he can earn more as function MC

frankly, these days i find that the morning shows from 7.00 till 8 is better than previously with chan fung around. also, even after that i think it is fresher and more funnier at times. except that, every friday midnite no more chan fung, hehe, less one leisure to listen when coming back from yumcha.

anybody care to tell what's so good about chan fung? never reli liked him

it was good to hear him flaming other listeners who called to the radio station.. that was few years back when i still listen to radio.. nowadays i only listen to myfm when i feel bored

I think he's concentrating on his own biz. If I am not mistaken he's a boss for some advertising agency. No need to DJ anymore.

ya i agree sometime tune in on friday nite but he wasnt there.. replaced with a female tat female less confident while giving advice.. i agree also chan fong got less patience... if u err.. many times then he ll ask u to call again

ya, some more he is ambassador for Diamond, i'm sure Diamond pay him alot plus doing some freelance function MC, he can earn more than what he had as DJ

Oic contract issue. I tot he was fired because he said something wrong on the radio haha...

he actually runs a creative agency together with wife. DJ-ing is just a passion.

I only miss friday night with Chan Foong flaming program...i miss he voice...he such a good DJ...

damn... he's gone for real? i thought he's just taking a long break.

i also like his flaming program... sometimes really gives the listener good advice... or at least makes u think more about it

Taking long break I normally heard from other 988 DJ, when listener call in and ask where is Chan Fung. But what i read from the newspaper is the contract thingy. He has gone for 2+ months, and i hardly heard his voice until one recent ad, it's... Chan Fung's voice!

Me too, friday 11pm-2am i will turn on 988 wan, whether is flaming or giving advice, it is nice to hear. Miss that man.

His contract is over and never been renewed.

But i prefer now Jeff running the morning programme rather than chan fong. I think Jeff is 100X better than him. more sense of humour, not as lansi as chan.

i like listening him fcuk those callers call in and talk craps about their love lifes... very funny hear those stupid idiots get fcuk by him 9 9...they never think before calling

Ya, I really missed that friday session as well, he is a very good DJ, sensible , very knowledgeble and have a very strong character too.

Anyone here met Chan Fung before? Last time my friend and I bump into him at Jusco Wangsa Maju. My friend's a fan of him, so she walked up and said hi.

Walao, he gave her the 'what la??!' look. Ever since that incident, my friend never listen to his show again. Hahaha

i met him once when i was in form 1 or form 2....
at first i duno he ws chan fung..then my mom told me he's chan fung....
he looked at us then keep on walking as we din smile or greet him....
guess,he's walking to 988 office tat time.....

last time 988 got introduce new dj jeff, n bla bla bla forgotten who. Chan fung looking for replacement. So Jeff is most suitable and chan fung retire. hahaha

looking into this thread never realize that no more his vioce on 988. i always hear morning gong kai fan wun and evening ka sai yu fai. really like 988. myfm sucks and that ugly pheobe thought she was very pretty (vomit)

i think now should be better then morna+KK coz now Luke change to tis session oledi....much more funny than morna+KK....listen to it yesterday..not bad

i can't find any market survey result,but i saw many ad frm tis 2 radio station tat they r no.1 and all those stuff lar....

radio 5 is da best of allllllll ....

998 morning session is very cheerful & informative, while evening session got kk & luke, both crazy & funny... But i felt the night time is a bit pitiful, nick solo all the way...

ya, he has to go solo all the way...

they shouldn't have put May at 2pm show, should retain her at night slot while Nick in the afternoon one

I didn't get the habit listen to radio before this, but on CD all the while. Just recently, I started to tuned into 988. Don't know why, maybe felt that it's livelier compared to CD.

Chan Fung owns Feeling Cafe in KLSC, Wangsa Maju which recently moved to Metroview Condo in Section 2, Wangsa Maju. It is said that the cafe co-owned by Michael Wong or better known as Guang Liang. Chan Fung has many other business besides such as those you guys have mentioned. And yea, he lives in Wangsa Melawati exactly next to Wangsa Maju.

Luke and KK really funny..

i oso like those times where jeff and morna is partner.....their show is really nice...dun wanna go home when it comes to 5-8 that time...

i feel like the 5p.m to 8p.m. show is kinda 'fai'....if compare to last time where jeff n morna is partner....i just feel KK is not very suitable,IMO...except the 'ngo bong nei ban shi'
